Presumably if it had been outside the box, would have been a red card? Would have been nice to have both!

But if we keep getting balls like that to Welbeck, we could see another card/penalty anyway.

Sham had to play one if their new players (Thilo Kehrer) because of fitness/injuries etc. Thanks for the pen Thilo, it’s a learning experience this EPL journey you’re on, you’ve just completed lesson one.

He was just on the line when there was contact. As we found out two years ago v Spurs, that is a penalty.

Welbz was inside but the contact with his foot happened just outside, as seen on the picture. No idea what the laws say about that.

Anyway, Brighton looking a lot better after the goal. Some sloppyness but nothing compared to West Ham, hopefully they can be equally shite in the second half.
