Still can't see why the West Ham goal was overturned by VAR ? if that was us I would be spitting feathers.

We need a striker.

What have you been watching over the last 10 games.

Signing a striker improves everything.

Two elephants in the room. 1. I’m not sure anybody can name a single striker we could afford that would score the goals we hope they will. 2. We sold Ben White for £50 million. Clubs know we have that and are desperate.
IMHO we have the luxury this season to consolidate and work on getting someone in in the summer and giving them a preseason to learn potterball. I cannot begin to imagine the melt down at games, here and elsewhere, if we panic buy some clown and he proves equally profligate in front of goal.

I'm so confused. I go through phases begging for a striker, then Maupay does that and I feel ungrateful.

Maupay isn't THE striker.
Strikers don't do the work, all over the pitch, that Maupay does.

If the striker ever arrives I would wager my left testicle Maupay instantly becomes a considerably better footballer and goal scorer.

Rob Green saying he would call for help, as he isn't capable of beating off Rice, Soucek and Antonio on his own. Fnaar fnaar.

Let’s translate that for the non superfans. Very average performance, but fantastic result. bullied for too much of the game and 7 out of 10 games that’s a guaranteed defeat. But we again rode the VAR casino and came out even. Worth celebrating heartily but really helps to keep your feet on the ground and not be a footballing hare krishna

Keep away from those razor blades :moo:

Please let’s hope we learn from this game, we are more durable with Duffy in the team. Let’s give him a long run now

He’s a strange one.
One minute he can perfectly execute the most difficult of chances.
The next, he can trip over his own foot, or kick it with the wrong foot.
His technique is advanced on difficult things and League Two on the basics

Yes. Perfect summary. 😃

Delighted too. Can you give me one reason why he shouldn’t have started. Which obviously was my point, right?

Because he’s coming back from a very serious injury, we have a load of games coming up and he’s a speed merchant which is a problem when it’s very cold. The club are obviously managing his return which should be commended.

The commenters at the end were great. No cliches and not spouting rubbish.

Why did you have the commentary on? I wish Amazon had all the games as no commentary is fantastic.

I did have the sound up, but was tempted to mute the merchant of Albion doom commentator.

Why does January = panic buy.

The club has a global scouting network, working 24/7, 365 days a year.

The list of potential strikers didn't get thrown out on 01.09.
They haven't sat twiddling their thumbs for 3 months.
It won't get to NYD before someone says 'ok chaps find us a striker'.

I think Lamptey is a brilliant player who is consistently among our top 3 performers at every game - you staggered at that?

Calm down and read what I posted.
I agree Lamptey is brilliant but don't agree with your idea of Veltman!
