Looks like a distinct lack of pace in the midfield today. I guess with the passing game its movement rather than pace that counts. Looks like a case of brains over speed, I'm hoping we'll pass them to death!
Wingers mean fewer bodies in midfield. West ham out-muscled us in the middle of the park at The Amex so I suppose Gus is looking to put more bodies in there.
I think we manage to win this even without width. We do have the option to bring on some wider players, however, I think we may pull off a smash and grab within the last minutes of the game. what is the point in setting up defensively at this point in the season? we arent going to get relegated so we may as well go out, and all out attack. if we lose after hammering a team who can complain, at least we tried.
