My point is that is we really do have *ahem* 5,000 applications then the club would a) have posted on the site that postal applications were closed. b) simply apply to west Ham for more tickets. West Ham will have plenty. I can't believe they will fill their stadium for this clash.

I think you need to go back to the earlier point that West Ham are unlikely to give us anything other than the lower tier that they always give to visiting fans. It would become a nightmare for them putting us elsewhere as I doubt other sections have the segregation in place and it would mean moving season ticket holders. Also they have not made other parts of the ground available for fans of Milwall, Spurs, Chelsea, Utd etc in the past so why should they for us.

Finally when have the club ever kept that website up to date? Better off relying on the bush telegraph and speckled Jim.

That much is true. However the differnece between us and Millwall, Spurs, Chelsea, Utd is the West Ham fans are up for seeing those matches and priority must be given to them.

It's a bit like Bristol Rovers wanting to bring 2,000 to Withdean for a first round LDV clash. I'm sure the club would accomodate them as no home fan gives a toss.

I have been informed that mine have arrived. Does anyone know if we have been given any extra tickets yet? Apologies if this has been covered but I haven't read the thread as I am rather busy today.:clap2:

In theory you are correct that it is not going to sell out for them etc. But then the OB are going to get involved and there is the issue of decent segregation, which I doubt in the sections that they would have to give us is not in place, so it probably becomes too much hassle, so I think we have to face the fact that we will get the lower tier end of. Those that did not apply in time, well under the current system of no priority given when allocating tickets, them the breaks.

Anyone been in the lower tier at WHU before? Are we gonna get stuff dropped or thrown on us from above?

Yes.

Well, thats from a Leeds fans experience in their away end, coins, spit and bottles of pee are flavour of the day there.

from the football ground guide.

"Away fans are housed in one end, in the lower tier of the relatively new North Stand (also known as the Centenary Stand). The usual allocation for away supporters is 2,200, but if demand requires, away fans can be allocated the whole of the lower tier of the North Stand, where up to 3,600 supporters can be accommodated."

So I would guess that our allocation is 2,200 (not sure where 2,700 cam from?)

The whole tier takes 3,600 which will be heaps.

So potentially we have another 900 to claim if demand requires it?

Applied for mine the day they went on sale and only got them Friday. Don't despair, if you haven't got them yet - the club had probs at the ticket office to sort out first, didn't they?
