Not looking good been following in on twitter, seems they might get there review, not sure why they are doing this mind as Boris just gave them the green light to build a new ground in North London and has said they will get funding for it.

Seems the judge not to sure on his football though.

danroan Dan Roan
Judge asks Leyton Orient's QC what club's gate is and what league they play in. Justice Collins clearly not a regular at Brisbane Road

spurs look set to get there review and palace fans are not happy

something witty
Danroan nooooooooooooooo if that happens CPFC can't move ahead with our stadium plans!!! Tell levy to stop being a pain!

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I'd imagine the judge is well versed on the clubs history and current status. Merely wanting to challenge the QC to see how practical a large stadium, that has been funded by the tax payer, is for a club with a long history of small attendances.

huh, I must be missing something, how does Spurs getting permission to build their own stadium affect West Ham or Palace?

Surely this makes it easier for them.

Oh, I didn't read it properly.

Meh, seems if the review goes ahead then West Ham may have been up to something dodgy so not sure you can blame Spurs.

Its going to be awful but someone just made a good point maybe, West Ham should take the premier league to court for allowing Tottenham to move to Newham, i mean thats going totally against there rules, not that the premier league seems to stick by its own rules.

Yes. It'll be a terrible venue for watching football:(
It will be awful if the track is kept. Spurs were never going to keep it, and part of their objection was that part of the reason West Ham were first choice was because they said they'd keep the stadium layout, which is less wasteful of public money - but then West Ham could easily change their plans once it became too late for Spurs to claim the ground.

I really don't undestand why this would effect Palace, can anyone summarise?

Spurs intend to knock down the stadium and build a purpose-designed football stadium in its place. However there needs to be some top-class athletics facilities resulting from the ground plans, so Spurs have said that they would put forward the money for the Crystal Palace facilities to be redeveloped into a top-class stadium. However CPFC have said that they want to knock down the old athletics stadium after the Olympics (on the basis that it'll be usurped by the new Olympic stadium as a London venue for top athletics) and build their new ground on the site. Hence if West Ham use the stadium, Palace would be able to develop the site, but if Spurs were given permission then the club would be back to the drawing board.

which club though? Orient arent even attempting to take over the Olympic ground, just determined anyone else from doing so.

the Spurs plan involves building a athletics facility at the Crystal Palace site as a "legacy" for athletics. Palace want to bulid a new stadium at Crystal Palace, with a small running track facility next to it.

so if Spurs win, and assuming Bromley council are in agreement for a new athletics facility on the site, Palace's plans are f***ed. the fact Bromley would have to agree to any plan by Palace for a football stadium means they are probably f***ed either way.

Spurs might have shot them self in the foot though, i mean they got given the green light by Boris and co to build in North London there original plan, they would have got funding for it aswell, now there pressing ahead against West Ham, possibly destroying our chances now of getting the Worlds in 2017, i cant see them getting the chance of building a new stadium on North London now.

Ah, that explains it! Repped.
