West Ham "played like a pub team"

After the game, chairman Terry Brown reportedly went into the dressing room and told the team they had played "like a pub team" and that the £16,000 spent on an overnight stay before the game had been a waste of money.

£16k on an overnight stay!!!!

I don't see why the club should fork out when there players play like that.

Sqaud of twenty plus backroom staff of, say, ten.

Even in a very, very good hotel dinner B&B should be no more than £250 each.

That's £7,500.

What?

Did you add in the 'Reverse Charge' Telephone call costs to Beunos Aires?

Why would he - it was highly publicised that the Argentinians didn't travel with the squad for this game.

Oh Oh Oh Bozza.....not publicised highly enough maybe.

You mean you weren't listening to Five Live in your kitchen at precisely 7:32 last night as you carefully made some falafel?

At that time the falafel fell into the phallic shaped floor tiles my good fellow. I told my wife..she said 'that's easy for you to say'
