I think Paul Hart is the most likely... both Brighton and Reading have told West Ham there's no chance...

With respect, what the clubs say is largely irrelevant. If West Ham are interested in Pardew/Coppell, and they want the job, it will happen one way or another.

However well Reading are doing (and let's be honest, they are doing well on and off the field) West Ham is a much bigger job, he'd take it if offered.

The betting for these new manager positions is getting really strange. There's already been two clear favourites in the last week, Pearce and now Pardew, and before that a shedload of money for Winterburn. It's just not worth betting on unless you've heard it from the chairman himself.

Pardew now 1/2 and Sir Steve drifting to 20/1

Would rather Stuart Pearce get the job as I can see Steve being attracted by the Reading managers job

The only thing that gets us about Pardew and the West Ham job, is that the pressure is intense to get them promoted this year. If they only offer him a 1 year, promotion-based contract, then I'd like to think that he'd turn it down.

West Ham are a better prospect than most clubs in the league, but with their financial instability compared to ours, and the fact that taking a club like Reading to the Premiership rather than West Ham surely looks better on the CV, we'd like to think he'd stay.

Not looking good though, is it? :(

The Reading fans already think Pardew is as good as gone. From their Hob Nob thing, they say West Ham have approached Reading and are now in talks with Pardew....

On Sky sports he is 6/1 but Pardew appears to be the favourite. The fans want the Pearce /Brooking combo.

Can't see them going for Coppell. Just doesn't sound like the sort of appointment they would want.

Big name, West Ham backroom staff, or former player. It WILL be one of those.
