I can’t get too worked up about the cup when the club obviously don’t care about it, but one goal and failure to lead WBA’s second string after 192 minutes of football highlights our complete lack of quality in the final third more than anything else this season.

I felt we should have been comfortably ahead at half time, we were just a bit wasteful. Apart from that, these are two squad sides with a smattering of kids in both. I think people see our lot playing in the Prem and it masks the fact we have hardly any stand out players, but lots of competition everywhere. For what it's worth, I reckon we have played a lot worse than this.
