It's fat cup not premier league. Bookings in fa cup do not count to premier league games and not sure there can be retrospective bans for fa cup.

Erm this pretty much has never been the case. Red in cup counts accords to the league.

Mears doesn't get a lot of the ball there. He thinks he's given a penalty away to be honest. For me, it's a foul that would be given anywhere else on the pitch.

It should have been a penalty.

I have just looked it up, red cards count towards all domestic competitions. If he gets a ban he's out of the league. Our disciplinary record this season is atrocious.

Edit: just to be clear, they did change the rule regarding yellows, they only count in-competition towards a ban.
