More mythology, I don't know how he does it?

Bolton - 1 relegation battle when they were first promoted. They spent big and never recovered. He threw his toys out when they wouldn't spend more. Look what happened to them.
Blackburn - finished 10th the season before he arrived, they were a good side but Ince had lost the plot. They weren't really relegation material. Finished 13th, then the season after 10th. It wasn't a death row survival.
Sunderland - yes, the mythology in full flow.
Palace - 15 pts from 17 games when he took over in 17th, they'd won 4 drawn 3. They finished on 41 pts same as we did last season.

I don’t see how you can call it “mythology”

How many times has he been relegated in the premier league, taking over utterly doomed teams?

Zero.

You may not like him, or his style. But that is fact. Not mythology.

So that’s zero, correct? He has never been relegated from the PL.. No mythology, that’s an accomplishment. Like him or not.

Blackburn
Sunderland
Palace
Newly promoted West Ham
Bolton

You obviously don’t read previous posts. All those others weren’t ‘doomed’ teams at all.

How can you include West Ham! :lolol: he took them up, hardly coming in to save them from a doomed relegation.

Keeping a newly promoted team up is no mean feat.

I get the feeling you don’t like the guy, but you can’t deny his accomplishments. Again, he has never been relegated from the PL.

I can! The mythology is because enough people don’t dent his ‘accomplishments’. They just lap it up that he’s this saviour of teams. Do the digging into the stats and you’ll see it’s no where near as convincing as you think.

Nope. You’re just bias against the man for some reason.

Here are the facts.

Bolton - promoted from league one. Kept them up got them into Europe

Newcastle - position when took over 15th, when left 11th

Blackburn - position when took over. 19th. Sacked by Venkys in 13th. (What happened to Blackburn then?)

West Ham - promoted, kept them up finishing 10th

Sunderland - position when took over 19th. (What happened when he left?)

Palace - position when took over 17th

Everton - finished 8th

There’s a game on. I’ve explained it to you in a previous post.

“They weren’t really relegation material”

After Sam was fired by Venkys what happened to Blackburn [emoji1787]. I’ll leave you to your mythology.

Can’t believe we’re arguing over Fat Bloody Sam during a game. Whatever vagabond, he’s an amazing manager. :lolol:
