Sorry, I missread your post and piled in with a humerous riposte, based loosely on the Spinal Tap quip about a band member drowning in vomit, but it wasn't his vomit, only to see that it didn't fit with your post. You can guess the rest. Luckily I deleted it before anyone saw it.:lolol:

Sorry to be throwing water on your fireworks, but I find this all a bit hilarious. It wasn't long ago that there were "how long can we put up with Potter" and "we are going down" threads (for the record I have supported Potter from the moment I did a google search for him when he was appointed). Yes we are playing good football, yes we are above Utd, but to say like some have that they are a shite team and we will beat them easily is just plain daft. They lost against Bournemouth when they were clearly the better team and they are the only team to have taken a point off Liverpool. This year the PL is going to be tighter than the proverbial fishes arse. As Potter has said he is not looking at the table as doing that can get in into a world of trouble. I for one am not surprised that we are playing well. Bloom and Co are not fools. But keep a grip. Some of the posts in this thread remind me of our first season in the Championship with people talking about us going straight up. The future looks good, but it is going to be a roller coaster of a season. What is good is that we do have the ability to win this, but so do they, in spades, and anyone writing them off is foolish.

11 games in. You are getting a bit excited.

We beat a dreadful Watford team. Beat a Spurs team that is going through a horrific bad spell. Beat a woeful Norwich side. Got a massive helping hand in beating Everton. The only side who have tested us properly in our wins.

Lighten up man! This is a lighthearted thread about our current but unexpected League position. Whether we maintain that place or not enjoy the moment. Remember, we are fans of Brighton and Hove Albion we do doom and gloom better than anyone, so when it’s the opposite we are not quite sure how we should react except with an astounded “pinch me I’m dreaming” default position. Long may it continue. :drink:

If by some miracle we win tomorrow I reckon Ole is gone

The bloke on MOTDX predicted that Ole would get the sack this weekend, a few weeks ago, and when reminded of it on Thursday confirmed it by saying he thought Brighton would win.

1. Nobody on here has been on about getting rid of Potter (except maybe Spence, but then there's always somebody a bit special just looking for some attention)
2. Nobody on here has said we will beat Man Utd easily.
3. You are not alone in being unsurprised that we are playing well. Far from it.
4. Nobody has written off the chance of us losing to Man Utd.

Other than that...yeah. Great post.

Oh no they let you back in! Did you by any chance read my post or are you just assuming you know what I was saying by reading every other sentence? That aside, your refusal to accept that we do indeed have a good side worthy of PL status is kind of sad, a rather pitiful example of someone who refuses to acknowledge when they are in error.

True. I guess I am guilty of aggregating posts from other threads and spouting my annoyance here. I re read the posts on this particular thread and most are hopeful we can win but as you point out no one has said we will do it easily. Its just so frustrating that at the start of the season there were so many doom and gloom threads and now we are beginning to see the polar opposite. But agreed I am in error posting in this particular thread my frustration with some people fluctuating between "we're doomed" and "we're off to europe" almost at every win and loss.

NSC is like a hormonal woman - a maelstrom of violently accelerated emotions triggered by the slightest thing.

The highs and lows ebb and flow like the tides of the sea according to the latest result. If we get humped tomorrow afternoon then some will declare Potter a fraud, nodding sagely, saying we've been found out, confidently predicting our demise and impending doom. If we win, then others will be updating their passports in lieu of our debut season in Europe.

Twas always the case. People deal in extremes to get noticed.
