If the ice sheets in the Northern Hemisphere melt, its mass will reduce meaning a gradual change to the Earth’s tilt.

This could, in time, alter our seasons and hours of daylight.

I'm sure that when I was a youngster growing up in Brighton in the late 70's and early 80's that winters were much colder, went on for longer and were also much snowier but I wonder if this really was the case or whether I'm just fondly looking back through snow tinted spectacles!

My Facebook memory reminded me we had some snow in January 2018.

I have noticed that every year the days start geting longer after Chritsmas, and it starts to get warmer. Then it can get very warm, but after that the days get shorter and the leaves fall off the trees. Really strange this. Happens practically every year
