What game in hand.?

I meant the game in hand we'll accumulate by not playing in the upcoming mid week fixtures but Ive just noticed we'll catch up after playing Newcastle on the 20th. I just wondered what the reason for this was

We are playing Leicester at what looks to be a very good time . Barnes out injured , evans maybe out if not recovered from his knock today , Maddison looks unlikely to recover in time from his injury and vardy is playing still with a lot of discomfort from his previous injury so is not firing on all cylinders .

It might be clutching at straws but we have a chance of getting something from the game yes .

In this crazy season, we are more likely to beat an injury ravaged Leicester City away than Newcastle at home.

If we get an own or deflected goal, we’ll win.

The thing is.... we are playing Leicester at home not away.

Evans also went off injured. Still if they used no defenders we still wouldn’t score. Can see this being a 0-0.

This is the third mention of us playing Leicester away, from 3 different posters.
It's at home.

Can't see it, few teams have had the wood on us so consistently since we came up as Leicester. They seem to know exactly how to beat us every time.

We have more chance of beating Leicester than the clubs around us. We are a good side, but, we have been worked out by the lesser teams. They pack the penalty box, 10 men behind the ball, and we then have to play out wide , putting in crosses for strikers who aren’t good enough in the air to benefit. If we try to play through the middle, our players are crowded out and we don’t have that little bit of clever to make room.
Leicester are a good side, they won’t come to park the bus and play a 10 man defence, so, hopefully we will have more room in the final third to make an impression. We have to take the chances we make though, and keep our concentration at the back for 90 plus minutes.

You're not clutching at straws at all, these are definite positives. Looks like Maddison will be out and Barnes definitely missing are huge bonuses for us. Add these to Justin, Praet and Perez who will be missing along with possibly Evans being out and Fofana just coming back, they are definitely stretched. Hopefully they're now suffering an end of season capitulation like they did last season.

Vardy doesn't concern me as much these days, he is very reliant on those players around him. He has undoubtedly lost some pace and is not the player he was. He has only scored 1 goal from open play in 11 matches and that was the Allison calamity against Liverpool where he had an open goal tap in. If he plays, and I hope he does, I totally back our defence against him.

Tielemans is their best player so if Bissouma can nullify him, I'm quite confident we can get a result in this game.

What we need is Leicester to be inconsistant.
They need to beat Burnley then not show up at The Amex.
They have injuries to key players and will have 2 away fixtures in a short period.
We stand a very good chance of 3 points, its the extreme pressure of needing points and scoring goals that worries me as it is now getting silly.

I don't think we will beat Leicester, but if Fulham lose to Spurs we won't have lost any ground.
