My seat's in the front row of WSU, and I'll admit there were a few times last season where I thought I might go over the wall. That's largely because I got a bit over excited, and pushed myself up into the air off the wall, leaving it roughly level with my shins. Other than that it doesn't bother me though.

Not as steep as the national stadium in Cardiff though, that seemed more dangerous to me.

I was ok at Cardiff, but got vertigo in the new away stand at Molineux last season. I had to ask a steward if I could move seats.

The Building Regulations classes a stadium, theatre etc as an 'assembly' building. In front of fixed seating the guarding only needs to achieve a minimum height of 530mm rising to 900mm where there may be stair flights or 1100mm at landings (hence the addition of metal railings at the bottom of the stairs leading down to the front row).

This. My seat is in the front row so I have frequent experience of that low wall. I have to admit I'm surprised it is as low as it is. I'm glad in one sense as it keeps the view clear and I absolutely love watching football from up there, but i must admit when we score key goals I have to temper my celebrations somewhat!

But on the non-key goals I just sit quietly in my seat, applaud for a couple of seconds, and contemplate existential fine art. Which sounds about right for WSU.
