I was lucky enough to see Whiteside make his league debut as a sub for Man Utd when they played us at the Goldstone in the old Div One back in the early 80s. Even though he was 16 years old he must have been the biggest player on the pitch.
Shame his career was cut short by a knee injury.

No,it is not a shame. It is karma for what he did to Chris Ramsay. Just took a few years to work, that's all.
