If you're after stricter moderating I rather suspect the Bear Pit will end up closed again and all it's regulars perma-banned

That's fine, I'm happy on the Main board as long as there's a thread to discuss alternatives to the Northern Ireland protocol that is strictly moderated to stop trolling
(I seem to be suffering from double posts, you wouldn't know anyone technically minded who could help ?)

Racism and knife crime are obviously two completely separate issues .
However it would be helpful if even a small number of high profile footballers did try to maybe get involved with a campaign maybe in partnership with the police or govt that resinated with mainly teenagers that knife crime is a wicked thing to get involved with and maybe show them some of the families they have destroyed .
This is far from being just a black problem but in London the majority of stabbings that are gang related ie over 50 % are from young black men , usually although not always targeting other young black men . I know in other cities like Glasgow etc the majority are white but the numbers are generally a lot lower .
To make it clear , this is a completely separate issue to taking the knee , I don’t see any issue with taking the knee if that’s what the players are comfortable doing .
If there were maybe 5 well known footballers , maybe 3 BAME and 2 white .
Before anyone says what’s knife crime got to do with footballers ? I agree nothing But teenagers are much more likely to take note of role models they look up to than the police .

There is a more Democratic way for the players to Challenge this Government on the issue of Race. When it comes to Elections they should become " More Political ". Use the fact that they have thousands of followers who are also " Voters " and urge them not to vote for them.
If every footballer black and white pledged to do that come Election Time they wouldn't be long in changing their stance on Racism
I'd say the mental connection they're making is pretty transparent.
