Well done to those who stayed and clapped the team off.

Bet you left Hereford early...the cup match the following season I mean. Obviously you never went to THE game, if you did then you're a proper fan. Everyone else, pah, cup final, Millenium stadium, Amex padded seating GLORY HUNTERZ!!! ;)

I know, I wasn't there, too busy running a non league club at the time, -1 trillion points for me.

i really dont see a problem with going early or not this chestnut comes up on here time after time we pay our our season ticket money that in itself is supporting the club 95% of time i stay to final whistle but if people choose to go early thats up to them i really dont get these threads about leaving early

In fairness on this board, because so many weren't 'here' when we were shit, it's kinda of fashionable to knock the Uber fans. Bit like mocking Uncle Albert about the war when really they are bonified heroes and everyone else is just feeling guilty they went missing in their clubs hour of need. I'm sure as numbers thin however that once again the heroes of the hour will be rightly measured up for statues outside of the Amex. That is what all the cameras are there for on the way down to the trains - to capture all those who leave early. Them people is never going to be statues. I can tell you that now. I'd go on 85 if I didn't feel the need to drink copious amounts of post match Guinness. I'd clap the players too if I wasn't so drunk.

I'm disgusted by the amount of fans who stayed behind to cheer the team but we're not wearing the colours!
Shame on them!

+50 points for wearing your BHA shirt to the game.
-100 points for wearing a BHA shirt with a name and number on the back (unless you're under the age of 10)

A true uber fan wouldn't say this!

I stayed to the end of all our awful performances last season because my son won't let us go early even if I wanted to. Left on 85 yesterday because he was feeling sick and I had to rush straight to a family Christmas do. Hope that's ok with everyone?

You should have come prepared and brought a sick bag, as for agreeing to attend a family Christmas do ON A MATCH DAY.
You should be ashamed of yourself you JCL Plastic.
Don't come again when we're winning .

Me and my mates Pat and Ian were the last left standing at the Amex after one Saturday game with only Dicks bar to drink in. They had about 50 pies left over and said they were for the staff, but I got three for free anyway. After which we got kicked out and the stadium was locked up. Points for free pies?

Only if you was also at Exeter away just a few seasons ago when they were handing out left over FREE Cornish pasties on the away terrace behind the goal :)

Its All Too Beautiful
Couldn't see too much to stay and applaud yesterday, in the same way that players give the fans a perfunctory clap at the end of the match. Like the team, I take one game at a time and I chose to go early yesterday, the days of blind faith to overpaid, over egoed and non committed players has long gone. The only constant is us the fans, we shout for each other, sing for each other and cheer for each other. Players and managers come and go, but we remain fans. lets not kid ourselves the players are here for the money and we are here to occupy our free time in the search for entertainment.
I left early because I had better use of my time yesterday, the modern game demands it, I will criticise, shout, complain, applaud, jump up and down as I so wish, but as I am the one parting with my money, I will do as I wish and be answerable to no one.

In response to those who say there is no point congratulating a team for losing badly, even at the end of a good run..... I remember a night in 1983 when the team lost badly to end a long cup run. Nobody left early and after the game we sang and sang and sang. We sang "WE'RE PROUD OF YOU!" I stayed yesterday and applauded the team. It just seemed the right thing to do after a fantastic run and this makes me laugh because I'm as plastic as they come. Spurs first Brighton second. How did you guys get from the spirit of '83 to here?
