First time I have been back to Withdean and the ladies did us proud winning 4-0 against Tottenham in their first match of the season.
Kids enjoyed it as Gully girls and Sally seagull were there were there too and they were able to get on the track and have a run about at half time. A bit strange seeing the place again without all of the extra seats. Will definately go back and support the girls again though. Well done.

First time for me as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter was well into the game - particularly as her coach, Kim Stenning, scored two of the goals. Albion looked a slick outfit, particularly down the right - the number 2 and number 6 had good games.

Think we'll be going again - even Mrs G enjoyed it

I was planning to go before a family BBQ prevented me. Am planning to see them soon though.

Was just over 300 I think, first womens football game in England I've been to. Can't believe Spurs are in the same league as us.. Sunday league defense!

What was the crowd like? Also, what does Withers look like these days - What's left?

Three hundred and something were there (I'd forgotten how bad the PA was - only the odd word is intelligible).

The North Stand is still there of course and so is the West (the old away end) everything else has gone.

Yes just over 300. Was pleasantly surprised at some of the quality from our team but yes the Spurs team were not on par. Ive only ever been to 2 womens games and one was the olympic final at Wembley with over 80000 supporters and the other today, but enjoyed them both. Would recommend to anyone with little ones wanting to get them into football as a great introduction. We got free tickets as registered on the AITC courses for kids but its only a couple of quid if you do it on the day.

Sort of. My daughter loved it and was dreaming of being on the pitch in ten years time but my son looked bored and says he's only interested in men's football. Have to keep him away from the Andy Gray/Richard Keys show.

Just wondering if anybody else was at the great 4-0 win today over Spurs at Withdean today.

Great performance from the girls and could have been more. 305 watched and only £3 to get in made a very good afternoon.

Next home game is on 9th September vs Colchester.

They're in the same division as Lewes this season - the FA Women's Premier League (Southern Division) - effectively the third tier of English women's football.

This weekend's results ...

Brighton & Hove Albion WFC 4 - 0 Tottenham Hotspur LFC
Millwall Lionesses LFC 1 - 0 West Ham United LFC
Queens Park Rangers LFC 1 - 7 Gillingham LFC
Reading FC Women 5 - 1 Colchester United LFC
Yeovil Town LFC 3 - 1 Lewes LFC

Just far enough away from LDC
I took my two boys. Was very impressed with the Albion side. Good passing football, plenty of efforts on goal. In the first half, the Albion number 6 (faye rabson) was head and shoulders the best player but faded a bit in the second. Would definitely go again.
