Of course I wasn't at the game today but I see the never say die Albion legend managed to bag himself 7 minutes under the Gus Bus revolution.

Every single Albion manager in his 13 years at the club has seen something in him that they felt warranted an extra year (and an extra year, and an extra year.....) absolute bloody legend.

I bloody love Gary Hart.

You and me both (and a lot of others).

OGH remains my favourite current Albion player...for his attitude as much as anything else...surely well on his way to legend status.

Loyal, stalwart of the club and still with a little something to offer.

Keeping Gary Hart a few years ago after the son of God himself Dean Wilkins (7th!!!!!!!!!!!) released him was the worst decision made since Eve ate the apple.

Typical of Dick Knight (Liar!!!!!!!) picking the squad and the team.

Just the sort of player we needed in those last 10 minutes. Went out there and closed down every ball and worked his nuts off.

I agree but is it worth a year's contract?

Saying that, I imagine he isn't on great money.

Gus mentioned a big part of Gary being here is because of his love for the club, and to be a senior member in what is essentially a pretty young side.

If he gees up the players in the stiffs to that they are ready when injuries/suspensions hit the first team then surely the answer is yes.

If we need an auxiliary experienced striker, right midfielder, right back etc, who you gonna call?

I think the world of Harty and in Gus we trust but I am wary of any player in the first team squad who you would be uncomfortable starting a match.

seemed to be adopting a coaching role in the warm up and came on at the death to close down their full back who was making too much forward progress against a tiring Smith. Ideal man for that role.

great also to see Whing involved and looking a happy lad

He came in and did exactly what many have suggested he would stopped them playing from the back. That in itself is worthy of a contract if it earns us points.

Really pleased he got another contract. Thought a while back that it was best for him to part ways but he has proved me wrong. Definitely a brilliant player to have in and around the squad

Gary Hart is a Brighton Legend full stop, and I for one am glad he was given another year. Gus gives out the contracts now, and if Gus thinks OGH is worth another year, then no one should question this decision.

In Gus we trust :drink:
