Alright lads
Totally outplayed today to be honest
21 games unbeaten we were expecting a far more competitive game than that to be honest
But like mentioned, came up against a decent team AT LAST
Long way to go,onwards and upwards seagulls:wave::wave:

Sorry Boro you have lost how many games this season so far ?
Yeah sorry about 4/5 of our main players being out through injury too shit happens I suppose.
Albion the team everyone wants to beat because were simply better than all of you in the long run !!

You say that but our best spell was for about 10/15 minutes after half time. That was when we needed to get a goal back.

That said, they were clearly more hungry for it than we were. They were pressing us early and we kept giving the ball away. Thought VLP and Murphy were poor. The only thing Murphy did was the shot which was probably easier to save that it was made to look. Should have gone low and hard at near post. A lot of the crosses failed to get past the first defender.

We kept giving the ball away because they had an extra man in the central zones. We simply didn't have enough options on for players to give the ball to.

And you say our best spell... it was 2-0 to 'Boro by that stage and they were just sitting deep, comfortable in the knowledge they were in total control of the game and that we wouldn't break them down.

Well done Boro for your victory today.
But by no way the best side thats been here this season so far.
Can't disagree with that Baz, best organised but definitely not the best footballing side, 3 times our defence went missing, three times they scored. People who go on saying we were outplayed are talking bollocks. Boro kept us at arms length and our stand ins weren't good enough to break them down.

Strangely don't feel gutted, taken it on the chin and thought 'fair enough'. I was thoroughly pissed with our performance against QPR, but today it does feel like a noose around our neck has been loosened. But the injury list is definitely starting to screw us up.

And it was good to see that at 1 and 2 up Boro did not resort to time-wasting on any scale that we saw vs. Charlton and
some others.

Good team, good fans. Not too upset at losing to Boro really.

They were certainly the best organised and most physically commanding side I've seen this season. Not sure if that equates to the best - I suppose it does. Most effective anyway if not exactly attractive.

Exactly. Didn't break a sweat.

To be honest, I thought Boro looked ordinary going forward. We just defended set-pieces horrendously. Defensively they were very very good

Spot on. Their defensive organisation was brilliant. Our defending at set pieces was woeful.

Well done Boro for your victory today.

Oh and well done to the few thousand that starting walking out on their team when they needed them most, the first on 72 minutes
I'm sure the lads really loved that and enjoyed seeing all the rats leaving a sinking ship FFS Appalling !!

Quite. How anyone today had the front to leave early today rather than applaud a record breaking side off the pitch is beyond me. We would hammer oppo support for doing likewise in such numbers. Embarrassing at best.

Cue 'customers' explaining that they pay & can leave when they like etc...whatever.

It isnt a good idea to be a dickh** when you get humiliated in your own backyard
Best wind your neck in, and appreciate better football like the other seagulls

From a view of all sides, hardly anyone left. Maybe some had Christmas commitments to escape early for. You'd have had no idea what the final score was looking around the ground.
