Without knowing where they would be housed, what infrastructure is in those areas and manifold other considerations I couldn’t possibly give a number, I doubt anyone on here could.

I will only say I think we should offer asylum to as many genuine refugees as we can accommodate. I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what that number would be.

I’ve already explained why that is impossible. I do not have the facts to even try and guess a number. A manageable, realistic amount that held as many people as possible. That’s as specific as I can be.

I’m not happy to see anyone risking their life for any reason or by any method.

I know you like a wind up, fair enough, your time to spend how you wish. Having said that, you know as well as I do that nobody on NSC wants to see people risking their life crossing the channel. So I think the time for implying anyone does has well and truly passed.
