Around 30 councils have refused to take any Afghan refugees who have arrived in the UK after fleeing the Taliban, government sources have said.

Britain has agreed to resettle 8,000 Afghan translators and their families who have been airlifted to safety out of Kabul airport by the RAF in recent days.

Boris Johnson has said that another 5,000 vulnerable Afghans will be welcomed to the UK this year, rising to a total of 20,000 in the long-term.

An initial request from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to local authorities has met with severe pushback from around ten per cent of England’s 333 councils.

A government source said the ministry has “asked councils, ‘Which of you guys can stick your hands up?’. Around 100 councils have said, ‘We’ll take some people’. About 30 local authorities have said no so far. They’ve said they don’t have resources or they have their own concerns.”

Many large Afghan families are among evacuees that have arrived, with reports of one family with 20 members arriving at Heathrow this week.

Its not that simple. The definition of rape was changed here some years ago and is now very broad. Unlike quite a few countries we also count each occasion of abuse as its own crime. Lets say you are in some abusive relation and report being raped by your husband: each time this has happened will be counted as a unique crime. If this person raped you 50 times, that will count 50 times in our statistics unlike in a lot of countries (no idea about the UK) where these crimes would be prosecuted collectively as just one crime.

That's ok then :dunce:

So....

The Right wing rag 'The Express' uncovers a story of a fraudster who maliciously milks the UK system... and, always assuming it is accurate, (not always the case with owner and soft porn mag man Richard Desmond) - what do you deduce from this?

Do you think in any way this represents a pattern of immigrant behaviour? Or do you think the story was plucked out and offered up to readers with particular prejudices on the matter of immigration? Take your time and think it through carefully before responding...

I look forward to reading your original, cliche-free answer.....

ah yes but you voted to take back control, sounds like your continual blaming the EU proves you haven't

You are in complete denial that you were sold a pup and the country is a worse place after Brexit, this being 1 example

Fork me, you really are next level stupid.
Have you not noticed its virtually just you alone trying to labour this utterly ridiculous point……. I wonder why.
Its quite astonishing you still haven’t worked out that taking back control of EU free movement for EU citizens was about taking back control of EU free movement for EU citizens.
Taking back control of EU free movement for EU citizens was not about taking back control of non EU citizens who are illegal immigrants in France or about taking back control of the criminal gangs who are people smugglers operating on French and Belgian soil and at the EU Schengen external border.
You might understand this one day,…… I doubt it though as the cretins who tell you what to think have brainwashed you very well.

No you're spot on, I don't understand it at all. I'm struggling to understand why you would stop legitimate migration from EU countries, who added billions to the economy and were here mainly for seasonal and general non skilled work (but also many other skilled jobs) to the point where there is a huge labour shortage, companies cannot function and there are food shortages, and calling it "controlling our borders" whilst at the same time any tom, Dick and Harry can simply waltz into the UK through the sea border. It is not a coincidence it is far more prevalent post Brexit which has exarcerbated the problem

Getting it done.....

I know you don’t understand the difference at all between taking back control of EU free movement on EU citizens and as you put it any “tom, Dick and Harry” non EU citizen who are illegal immigrants in France and elsewhere.
Its why I told you that you didn’t understand.
Good for you for admitting you don’t understand at all and that I was “spot on”.
You needed educating.

…only someone who hasn’t considered who created the article, it’s purpose and the type of audience it is targeting would have such a thought free reaction.

‘Apologism’ by the way

How do you know I don't live in Birmingham?

You have the smallest psychological bubble of anyone on this site and a vocabulary to match!

So what is your point, or to put it more succinctly, what is the point of you?

David Gilmour's armpit
GBeebies, Alex Bell-end, Farage, Jefferson tweets, dodgy YT videos and now Foxhole shite.
Our tame racists/gammonati sure do know how to put some sensible stuff on here, to support their warped (and desperately dumb) view of things.
Hilarious. :)
