Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that is what NSC is for, even those with the most outlandish ideas are free to post (mind you they usually get slated/flamed for their trouble).

There was a time when I would have preferred us to stay at the Goldstone and redevelop the ground, or even move to the site by Brighton Station, I am now firmly of the opinion that Falmer is the way forward for the club and the city.

Totally agree.

Why our board decided to sell the Goldstone before having decided on a new ground first is beyond me.

Still, at least with all the money we made from the sale, we were able to buy a squad capable of winning us two championships and a play-off final.

Now with all taxpayers' and lottery monies the cost of building Falmer will be next to nothing for our club!

We'll only need to borrow circa £46 million.
A mere drop in the ocean as mortgages go.

It'd be a refreshing change to see anyone in the NIMBY camp actually have the courage to come out of the closet. Or should that be, rise, like a rusty version of Excalibur, from the dank wastes of the Falmer duckpond?

Perhaps our new friend is against building a massive University Campus at Falmer, or is campaigning against a motorway through the idyllic village ?

simple ones these:

This current board didn't sell the ground. The previous ones did, took out the no profits clause and tried to run off with the money. They got caught. The new board took over but there was no money left.

the squads were built by the new board (the ones who took over when there was no money left in the club)

As for building costs - they have to be paid back in the majority. Hardly a cheap option!
