Not really. We are at war with them to protect our freedoms and way of life. If we sacrifice those very things in the fight then we have already lost.

In war times you have to make sacrifices to protect those very things.

Mosely was incarcarated (without trial) because he was a British facist in 1940/1, that was the right thing to do, at the time, because we were at war, like we are now.

What Britain is like Chile or Argentina, yeah right me and my friends are regularly picked up of the street and tortured, it's damn near an every day occurance at the moment. I mean it is just happening to me all the time. Holy moly.

No it's not, and that is worth protecting. What if one of your friends happened to be a muslim and was mistakenly suspected of harbouring information? Would you be upset if he was picked up off the street and tortured for 7 years? Or would that be ok?

I have Muslim friends, I work with 5 of them. None of them, none of them get any hassle from the police or anything, because they are all decent law abiding citizens. You live is some dillusional police state/muslim hating never never land that does not exist in Britain.

And you are disillusioned if you think that only guilty people are ever detained or (in this case) tortured. That is why we have a legal system and that is why we should fight to protect it, however imperfect it may be, because it affords you basic human rights. Can you not at least even try to consider the hypothetical situation regarding your muslim friends that I have suggested? I'm not saying it is happening on our streets today, I am saying we should be f***ing careful that it never does because we have been sponsoring it elsewhere.

No, I cannot because I know that they are decent law abiding citizens, I know that they have no need to go to say for example Afghanistan in times of war, to kick a drug habit, yeah right.

You talk utter nonsence, it is well known around the world that Britain is one of the most liberal countries, we bend over backwards to accomodate individuals of dubious character that hide under the very umbrella of what you talk about i.e. freedom of speech, innocent until proven guilty etc. etc............and then they pay us back by doing things like 7/7. Yet some dillusional fools shout and cheer when they are released back into our society to do whatever they wish.

I'm sorry but you really haven't understood my argument at all.

Who are these disillusioned fools? I haven't heard anyone shouting and cheering. Maybe you could provide a quote or a link?

No you haven't understood the actual situation because all you are doing is putting a theoretical argument rather than seeing what the actual situation is. You talk about Britain becoming some sort of Police state, when in fact it is known by other countries as being the most liberal.

London is sometimes refered to as Londonistan by security services of other countries. If you have never heard of this phrase look it up. Why is it called this, it is because Islamic individuals with very dubious intentions hide behind our generous laws.

What was the Argus doing when the man came back that had a link to Brighton then?

Here is a piece from the Guardian about London........ and it is dillusional fools whom shout and scream about human rights freedom of speech etc. that allow these people to hide (and in some cases operate) in the country that you (I presume) and I live in.

making themselves look incredibly provincial, (fair enough its a local paper but at odds with their metropolitan pretentions yet again) and practically knocking one out that they could finally get involved in a terror story that had a local link [edit apart from the obvious one]. The most embarrassing episode of the Argus's history in my opinion.

It was an utter disgrace.

From your last 2 posts and that link, I really see no point in going round in circles with you because you are clearly incapable of appreciating an alternative argument. That link for example proves nothing, it refers to the US media for gods sake! Like they know everything that goes on in London and have no vested interest in whipping up hysteria. You do have some points regarding the preaching of hate by some muslims based in London, but I would rather we keep an eye on these people until they commit a crime then imprison and torture them without trial or evidence.

Anyway, that's me out.

If you had been tortured and are sure that the agents of that country were complicit....would you apply to live in that country....or is it perhaps he knows he will get shed loads of compensation by pinning it on us?

But that is all it is a throretical argument that is not based on the reality of what the situation actually is that Britain is one of the most liberal countries in the world yet, you and others think we are on the brink of a Police state where all Muslims fear to tread for cocnern about getting falsely arrested.

You ask for links I give them to you, it also quotes US intelligence service personel directly as well as newspapers, why do you just brush off what they say, they know a damn site more about intelligence than you or I do!

You ask for examples of people clapping and cheering I state the Argus.

So that is why you are leaving!

All you can bet on for sure is that, whoever did what to who, it will cost the UK taxpayer at least £1,000,000 in legal aid, compensation, housing etc etc because WE are always guilty in the eyes of the 'bleeding heart' judges sitting in their ivory towers, still the government can always borrow more to pay him now that we've run out of money!!

Secondly, when you mistreat people like this, it only breeds more extremism. Haven't we learnt anything since the bloody Sunday whitewash when 12 unarmed civilians were shot dead?
how are you qualified to call it a whitewash ? you are so f***ing blinkered, that you will take any chance you get to run down your own country, tosser.
