It's nothing compared to how hard they tried to get the crowd going at Twickenham yesterday. Flat as anything despite the DJ, the bloody band and the 17 year old PA constantly encouraging people to get behind "your England".

We get off very lightly at the Amex.
These days, if you call it Twickenham, you get arrested and thrown in jail.

The point is that thousands of people didn’t find it boring and loved the moment
Indeed. Nothing to suggest they wouldn’t playing something else, and maybe even some of the many more thousands would stick around if they did? Who knows. But imaginative it’s not.

No the point is it’s universally played by every club worldwide seemingly and repeatatively boring now. Other songs are available and all that.
Coming from the same ground that trots out 'Albion, Albion', 'Seagulls, Seagulls' and a limited number of player songs every game?

Yeah, OK then. Maybe we should have the number one song in the hit parade every week, purely for a bit of variety :lolol:

Nothing stopping fans singing amongst themselves ! They’ve had 90+ mins to do so

Is there still a hit parade? I prefer the old Albion chant. And nothing wrong with Seagulls chant. Neither of which are primed and blasted from a PA.

Worthing
I don’t mind it, but, in accordance with inclusivity we should have a song for when we lose, and when we draw as well.

Free from desire, when we win
Heaven knows I’m miserable now, when we lose,
The Draw by Bastille, for a draw.

Maybe.

Some people like it. Others think it's manufacturered generic shite compared to a post match sing song about a brilliant Albion display.

Can't wait for the day every club looks at themselves and asks why we did that.

Awful.

Fair enough, but how does the post match sing song about a brilliant Albion display go?

Perhaps with all the sponsorship money they will be able to upgrade the sound system now?

Get the point but think thst about most of football these days - at least we don’t do the palace and arsenal cringe goal scorer shite

I'm ok with crap like that after the game, it's goal music and the like during a match that I'd hate.

Great to get that feeling again after a home game ….

Oh we are a fickle lot 😂

Seriously, thanks for posting Lamie - I have a niggling feeling I may have opted to attend the wrong Chelsea match this week.

Were some people planning to stay to celebrate the win, but decided to leg it when the music started?

If anyone (maybe start a thread) can come up with an alternative tune (eg Fat Boy Slim) that the crowd like to hear after a win, that's fine by me (as if that mattered).

Maybe if those that don't like it could muster up singing another song louder then it would get dropped. I suspect those that don't like it are in the minority so can't.
