Yup. And if they made the play-offs it would be an absolute travesty. Very ordinary team. Horrible, direct, predictable football. But sadly more effective than we are at the moment.

Think maybe now we should start negotiating those contracts......

After tonight some of those contracts will have been ripped up and binned.

We don't need to spend more money we don't have. Formation change is more productive. Get Buckers up front if necessary in a 4-4-2 with Solly and Lua Lua on the wings. This season is make or brake time. Attack !

F*** and bu88er! My team not functioning and NSC continually going to 'Not responding' (although tyhat's probably my computer) - it's taken me the entire second half to get to the last page. Virtually all the other results go in our favour, and what do we do?........yet again.

Couldn't score a goal or two against inferior opposition, and then concede in injury time. Geez.....that's SOOOO Brighton. Hmmm.....stiff drink, I think

It's getting tedious now.

We are playing boring unimaginative football, our attacking players are feeding off half chances and failing.

Just sooooooooooooooooooooooo boring.

We have probably ****ed up our chances of getting on the playoffs by selling our only back up striker and not signing a replacement but hey, at least we have saved a few quid.

Whoever authorised that particular bit of business needs to have a long hard look at themselves.

I can't say I would be too gutted if we jettisoned Oscar and Jones either.

our only hopes now is that hoskins and cms get back and by some miracle start scoring. we should easily have had another 15 points this season.

Totally agree and we brought in a 3rd rater to replace him

Sadly it sounded like the usual huff and puff for 90 minutes, lots of possession but no idea what to do with it where it mattered.
Only plan B we seem to have is to bring Kaz on and hope for the best.
2 shots on target.....yet again simply not good enough and especially disappointing when all the other results went our way.

Is it Oscar, the players not buying into him, or are we simply not as good as we thought or hoped we were?

No. I'm not going to get all maudlin. It IS hugely disappointing and this is going to be the first time in five seasons that we have not moved up through the league.

But...

...we have all been through so much worse. The close season was a disaster and to be sniffing around the playoffs come April is still a decent effort. Give Oscar his own close season and let's get behind the team. Tony is in this for the long haul and has put yet more of his money into an academy designed to take us to the next level and encourage talent to come to us.

Success doesn't come overnight. OK, it might do if you buy it but we're told those days are over too (not sure I believe that but there you go).

The Championship is a competitive division and I am still enjoying being in it. Another season won't kill us.

Just get a striker in before August.

So you're just looking at stats and making your mind up? Aspinall can't believe we've lost, thought we dominated 75mins of the match, and created 6 or 7 gilt edge chances. Doesn't sound like the players not buying into Oscar to me, sounds more like we just haven't got that genius bit of quality we need to kill games off.

We were playing Sheffield Wednesday not Barcelona or Man City. It shouldn't have needed a genius to kill this, and countless other games this season off.

In the Championship, anyone can beat anyone. Look at Barnsley. This must be one of the most competitive divisions in the world.
