Incorrect. 9% of 16 year old children born to unmarrieds live with both parents, 50% of those born to marrieds do

That stat tells me that 50% of marriages fail. Another stat is that 70% of divorces are initiated by women, so no matter how much of a commitment marriage means to you, there is a 1/3 chance that your wife will end the marriage, and this usually means it'll cost you.

On a positive note, and in answer to the original question: I've been to a great wedding at the Cisswood Hotel (on the A281, about 5 miles south of Horsham). Very nice venue, particularly the gardens if the sun is shining.

Another vote for Fitzleroi Barn in Fittleworth - i used to live in Fittleworth and it's a lovely venue.

Recently opened, but you could give Long Furlong Barn a go - it looks great and the food is sublime (I know the catering company). www.longfurlongbarn.co.uk

That's your free trip gone bud lol!

How's Andy these days? Finished my latest course of chemo (4th) two weeks ago and was signed off by the Consultant, had my Picc line removed yesterday. Trying to get the timing of my next surgery organised this morning so as to avoid the start of next season and SxCCC vs The Convicts at Hove.

I got married at the Ravenswood Hotel, RH19. a one-stop shop for the ceremony, reception, evening bash and plenty of rooms for guests - superb.

Mrs Lanky and I got married at Little Horsted Church last Friday.

We private hired Horsted Place over the road for our reception. While there are not many rooms there, we did accommodate 20-25 family & friends for the night and it was great to be able to have breakfast with them the following morning.

While not the biggest of venues (you are limited to 100 guests for the Wedding Breakfast and an additional 50 guests for the evening), it is a grand old country house with plenty of history (Lord and Lady Neville once owned it and often entertained the Queen & Duke of Edinburgh there) and magnificent gardens for photographs.

The food is magnificent - even the dinner menu is resonably priced if you fancy a treat and the afternoon teas are out of this world.

All of the staff, from the Manager Liz to the waiting staff are welcoming and friendly - to us it made our Wedding feel like the venue was part of the family.

Can't rate it highly enough.

Was at the Bluebell Railway last week and a wedding was taking place on the platform at Horsted Keynes. And I believe they serve Harveys in he buffet, what more could you want?

It does remind me of the old joke - don't get married - just find someone that you dislike and buy them a house ! That's what happened to me too - but second time around is perfect.
