Sold out? When was that then? As other's have told you, couldn't sell out 900 down here for the 2-3 game. And as is usual for a Palace fan, lied and tried to give it the biggun.......some things never change. If by some miracle you stay up next season lets see if you can sell out at Falmer...

Spot on Seasidesage.

Palace couldn't sell out there 2200 allocation at Millwall this season - and that's 5 miles up the road. They struggle with all away games because they are muppet fans - will be no different at the Amex if they are lucky enough to still be in championship next season.

It's a great idea. Love, peace and harmony. It could be like a Woodstock experience for the away fans. Perhaps those fans could get a colour co-ordinated headbands free with their programme and maybe The Who. Sha-Na-Na or Gateful Dead could provide half time entertainment. We could provide a tent city in Stanmer Park and the old bill could turn a relative blind eye to the drug pushers. Flared trousers and muslin dresses should be sold at the local markets with a mandatory discount. Imagine having 19 Albion Woodstock experience's in a season. The club planning committee might regret the decision to restrict away fans to 2575 seats in the South Stand, that's if the figures from the original Woodstock are any thing to go by. Love, peace and harmony. Millwall fans will love it.

The point of it is so that away fans look forward to a day out when they play Brighton, and subsequently we sell more tickets. More bums on seats means more ticket revenue, which is good for the club.

Going to an away ground, paying £25 and being treated like shit is never fun. For the more clubs like us change this and treat visiting teams well, the more will follow and the less people will put up with crap when on the road. It's a bold venture but a great one in my eyes. I'd love to see away fans really rate coming to the Amex and enjoying coming time and time again and spending there hard earned.

Football is changing and we're at the forefront of it.

I think it's an excellent idea. The club said they want to to sell out the away end to create both profit and atmosphere. They want fans to see Brighton as the 1 st away club on their agenda. It's a really good business marketing and friendly idea. Fits into our club ethos and will hopefully makes us loads of fans second team.

On the palace front could you have a combined Palace/Brighton legends 11.

I don't regard it as a problem either, think it'll add to the atmosphere.

Will the more comfortable decor make more away fans come? Probably.

Will the away support sound louder at games as a result? Probably, seeing as there's more than them.

Will it be a problem? NO - as long as the 20,000 Albion contingent get behind the team in the way that the new stadium and the team deserves. :albion1:
