We were f****** brilliant today

Without doubt our best performance this season and one of the best for a very long time. We looked like a complete team, everyone playing their part. Good to see Dan Harding getting stuck in playing with thought and spirit, and Chippie showing exactly what he is capable of. Reid,Hart and Mayo stood out as well. What can I say about the lads apart from everyone of them was absolutely brilliant and we should be very proud of them. If we play like this every week we can beat any other Championship team no probs.
See you all at Sheffield Utd next saturday !
(Oh yeah, I got a ticket in the end !)

f*** off you knob it was a great day out and we did ourselves proud. You really are a f***ing tosser FG.

Maybe the fact that a lot of people expected us to get stuffed and we didn't.
We should be proud that given our shit circumstances we are capable of going to a big club and playing the way we did.
And anyway if you only ever look at the negative how are you going to motivate yourself to succeed.
Get real and get behind the lads.

Don't really go in for slagging people off on here, but either you're after a wind up or (as I suspect) you're a f***ing wanker!

FG you are a complete twat. today we played the best we have for many a year and should be proud. FDM had hardly any work to do. we created more chances today than in the last 3 or 4 games and in them we were unbeaten. i was proud of being a seagull fan today and there's no way we deserved to be beaten.

it should give the players confidence to continue to get results for the remainder of the season

Corporate hospitality allowed me to go to the game at White Hart Lane today. Couldn't believe I was watching the same team that created so few chances at Loftus Road last week ... at half time, you could and should have been ahead. Didn't think Spurs deserved to win, imho a draw would have been a fair result.

Whilst it was a great team performance overall, the things that really stuck in my mind were :

Butters, Virgo and Hinshelwood were excellent throughout.
Same for Mayo and Carpenter.
Kuipers looked uncertain at times in the first half but was excellent in the second.
Knight showed what he is capable of when he focuses on playing football.
Dreadful support from the home fans ... thought Highbury was supposed to be the library.
Excellent support from your fans and that's the first time I've seen stewards give up trying to get people to sit down. :lolol:

Continue to play like that and relegation will not be an issue before long. Unfortunately I can't say the same for us :nono:

Sadly I wasn't! Missing 7 regulars including Furlong. Remember Currie's goal at the Withdean ... Day sets the wall up and then stands on the far side of the goal, inviting the ball round the wall? Well he did it again today. Second goal was a lob from way out with Day off his line and the 3rd a deflected shot.

The 'Holloway Out' brigade are starting to make some noise.

Don't see why, he seems a sound bloke, and you're still higher than us in the league..., and we're a nice (but not entirely comfortable) distance from the relegation places. Besides, what do they expect, as far as I'm aware you chaps are still recovering from financial difficulties? Surely staying up is the aim of your season as it is ours?

Oh dear, are a few short minded fans suffering from a "we should be in the premiership fixation" ?

Holloway is a great manager.

I recall saying that after the game at Withdean. Day was so poorly positioned he made it easy for Currie.

Holloway out? Rediculous. He's a great manager.

We've still got a £10m mortgage at a fixed rate of a mere 10% hanging round our necks so our financial problems are a long way from over. There's an amazing story surrounding that deal but that'll have to wait till another day.

Sadly when we won 7 on the trot, a lot of people started to think we were better than we really are. I agree that our first priority is staying up ... end of.

Enough about us ... let's get back to WHL. Seems amazing that Mayo had such a rough ride against Ainsworth last week yet picked himself up to turn in a belter today ... sh*t ... just seen the time ... turn in a belter yesterday!!!

I also thought WHL showed what you can build without taking up huge amounts of land.

That's Kerry Mayo all over really, he is either brilliant or a liability, he doesn't do average. Fortunately he bundles his brilliant performances into strings of games - he was close to being player of the season the season before last don't forget.
