The Fatherland
Who's that man from Argentina
Who's not the first Argie for us
Neither the first with a Scottish name who doesn't play for the Jockos
Neither the first WC goal, that was Caceidos
But fact he won the WC, you can make a fuss.

i think I have the kernel of a good song here

There are a number of very good Alexis songs here.

He needs a sort of medley meta-song with the 4 or 5 best ones combined.

We’ve become the second club beside West Ham in 66 to win a World Cup. I love it.

Champions of the world. You’ll never sing that.

That song sung last night starting to catch on. Got it stuck in my head this morning🙄
Not heard it before. Fair play to the group who started it - they didn’t give up and it was definitely spreading - shame they were singing it too pissed and too fast for me to catch all the words most of the time (and I was stood in amongst them)

Never thought I'd hear Manfred Man in this day and age but then I suppose the Beach boys is a common choice of chant.

"Ali Mac on my mind and he's Brighton's Argentine" was the only bit I picked up. The rest of it was like trying to decipher Radiohead lyrics.

theres a surprise :ffsparr: - been mentioned many times about how we sing songs way too fast . I f we slowed them down then thousands more would join and hey presto we'd have a wall of noise and a great atmospphere .............. but apparently this lot prefer just 20 people singing as fast as they possibly can and no atmosphere
