Can we lay off the Swansman critiscism now? It’s getting a bit much and personal now. Don’t understand how anyone can get quite so annoyed by someone you don’t know on an internet forum who isn’t posting anything particularly bad anyway and isn’t it good to have a different opinion to the majority on a forum? Makes it a bit more interesting I thought.

Anyway, back to the thread theme, I don’t think he will be sacked just yet but also can’t see him coming back from this in the long run. Think he will be sacked before or at the end of the season.
This. Pathetic behaviour. Are you guys about 12 years old?

I'll leave this open until the morning so any other views are welcome, but once I'm up and about this thread will be closed down.

I'm minded to ask Swansman rein it in a bit. Well, a lot, actually. Not every post he reads needs a response.

From a quick bit of research, it looks like I can spend some cash and buy a plugin which will allow me to set a daily limit of posts that can be made by any particular user(s). I'd rather not go down this route, but there does seem to be an automated technical solution to any users who need to be a bit more considered as to when and where they post.
Won't that just encourage second accounts?

I find him amusing. Personally think he is no where near Sweden and will google stuff and post to create the illusion of knowledge and posts for a reaction which is what he craves.
I find most of what he posts as irritating but I‘m sure a lot of people would say the same about me. I was never the greatest Potter fan and we have had many disagreements over the years BUT he has the right to post and to me he is seldom rude when he posts his rhetoric.

My local pub seems to have Fleetwood Mac on nearly every playlist. Now I like my local a lot but I'm not a fan of Fleetwood Mac and it feels like every time I go in there I end up hearing them.

I know I'm not alone in not liking Fleetwood Mac but do acknowledge that most people don't mind them and some actually quite like them.

Some of the staff have over heard me going on about Fleetwood Mac and have told me to stop moaning as it's the sort of stuff that gets played in pubs and It's not down to me what music is and isn't on.

I'm thinking about telling the landlord that if he doesn't remove Fleetwood Mac from all the playlists I won't be using the pub anymore but probably won't as that would make me seem a bit childish ... And I do like quite a lot of the music and do enjoy going for a beer.

It's the Karens.

The internet was wild and fun until about 1999 when the Karens discovered it and from then on in they started trying to tell everyone what they could and couldn't say and get people booted/censured from chat communities and forums for anything they didn't like or agree with.

Well, the thing is he would be the first to admit he is a drug addict and conspiracy theorist. This is from him directly. He also freely admits he says most things to “create debate”, he doesn’t actually believe what he types.

This can make him entertaining in a shock jock kind of way, but isn’t exactly groundbreaking.

Many also don’t believe a second he’s Swedish but he may believe he is - that part is harmless.

I have no issue with anyone posting on here.

I don't personally see the fascination with the Potter / Chelsea threads and anyone is entitled to an opinion and as long as it doesn't verge on trolling it should be fair game.

I liked BG and Enrest plus other "unpopular" posters from the past too so maybe I have a twisted mind? :)

Saw a few posts on here saying he's not a Brighton fan as he's never been to The Amex and I think a lot of people need a better understanding of the globalisation of football.

Increasingly as The PL/Albion get additional profile around the world are they picking up supporters from around the globe who follow on TV/online, sometimes purely because of their favourite player or manager. Some of these might make the ground - look at the amount of Mitoma fans at The Amex - some don't, but it doesn't make them and more or less of fan because they aren't a traditional support who gets annoyed by nonsense like bans on bottle tops.

This is poor & how many feel - Hope mods do the right thing - it’s a BHA forum for BHA fans and always will be - not a Graham Potter forum for non BHA fans - look after our own!
I really have to disagree with you here. There are lots of reasons people post on NSC. I don’t much like this thread. I’m surprised to see an officially sanctioned witch hunt on NSC.

I suggest you read “Droyman”‘s posts on the Shed End, where he constantly refers to himself as a Chelsea fan - every single post - 54 of them since the week after Potter joined - have been praising/defending criticism of Potter. Every. Single. One.

He is not a Brighton fan and never claimed to be one though, so I don’t really see what you mean at all. He is welcome here in my eyes - when he has a manic episode simply silence him for 24/48 hours from that particular thread until he becomes lucid again. Job done.

He is a Brighton follower who watches almost every game even without his beloved. Like it or not, he's got hooked.

Not a traditional fan as we know it, but that doesn't mean he isn't one.

This must be the only thread he hasn't posted on.
He has. He made a throwaway account earlier in the thread to reply to it as he was threadbanned from this one. This was made at a time when he was having a… bad moment on the other thread.

I’m unclear as to how Swansman is making NSC unreadable. I mean, he’s annoying and funny, prolific and quiet, wrong and right, but aren’t we all sometimes.

I don’t think we can ban him for being an idiot, as some claim he is. Nor can we ban him for loving Potter. After all, some on here follow other clubs too. Where would the banning stop?
