We need a drum don't we?

Should we have a drummer at the Amex?

  • Yes lets give it a try but make it subtle and sort out the songs.

I personally would stop going after 50 years if we ever did these.

really, i would NEVER stop supporting my club (after 40 years) if some fans had different ideas to mine........ i may disagree with them, but walk out on Brighton????

BHA belongs to TB, the community and tens of thousands of different fans with different ideas not to you and not to me.

If the positions were reversed our atmosphere would have been just as good as Derby's yesterday. Go to most of these drum grounds for a regular league game and it's the same as anywhere else, except with a ****ing shit drum throughout the game.

Our fans can't chant cooperatively, let alone in unison. WTF is a drum going to do?

The beat of the drum helps to keep the fans in unison.

Urm - I'm quite sure they didn't have a drum, they just banged loudly on the back of the stand.
(Which I then did for the last five minuets and proceeded to break my little finger!)

Yes, they had a drum. Sat at the back of the stand orchestrating the atmosphere.

I vote yay to a drum. Surely the NSK crew under the police box should give it a trail next term?

i went to Leicester last 2 years and the fat **** who bangs theirs ruins the atmosphere imo, its to loud and forced. it sounds shit.

Contrast that with yesterday, it was brilliant at times from the derby fans on all sides, the subtle and understated drum kept the fans going for ages in unison and it not only sounded superb, the atmosphere was electric and the drum could barley be heard.

Get fans to chant cooperatively/in unison.

How and why would it? The north stand has been reportedly one side v the other. So the drum will help them? How, I really don't understand the logic. If they can't hear, why not? They're right next to each other.

Do we need to take it away? we're all bunched in the same area, what effect would it have.

I'm all for trying something new, but a drum will change all this? bit unfounded...

Emailed the club asking for the words to Good old Sussex by the Sea to be on the screen for the play offs. Was told it was tried in last years play off match and was not well received by the fans.
Personally think it is a great idea.....Sing the correct words and STOP the pathetic rhythmic clapping!!!!!!

So, let me get this straight.

It created the atmosphere because it kept fans in unison and it was so electric and loud they could barely hear it anyway?

Does anyone remember what the atmosphere was like on the 17th March 2013...did we have a drum then?

No drum
No goal music
No clackers
No cardboard displays
No words on screen
No Ultras
No birds of prey
No cladding
No German songs

We are a football club not a bloody circus

I personally would stop going after 50 years if we ever did these.

And no atmosphere, thread after thread every week. I started the thread and I only want the DRUM

If it's that important to you - and I respect that, I really do - could you maybe bring your own drum?

Please no drum, if we had a vote, convinced that people in the majority would say no, maybe the kids would like it and fair do, but I am
Afraid that would stop me going, it is my real pet hate in football, sorry have an opinion. You don't need a drum to get a good noise going, you need a combination fans that sing, good football, a stadium that holds the noise, simple

No offence, but I don't think I'll be able to explain it in simple enough terms for you to understand.
