We need a couple of players more experienced at Championship level

Was bored at work today so somehow ended up looking at some of our players careers and am now a bit worried. Ankergren, Calderon and Painter are solid and should have enough experience to compete at this level, Elphick, El And and Dunk are all home grown and are clearly very promising but are relatively untested at this level. Buckley is proven after a good season at Championship level with Watford. Lua Lua is a fooball genius so he gets the thumbs up but then if you delve into the careers of some of the other mighty seagulls you could almost start to worry...

Greer – Clyde, Kilmarnock, Doncaster, Swindon, BHA
Dicker – UCD FC, Stockport, BHA
Bridcutt – Yeovil, Watford, Stockport, BHA
Nooney – Skelmersdale, Burscough, Southport, Plymouth. BHA
Hoskins – Rotherham, Watford, Bristol Rovers, BHA
Barnes – Plymouth, Oxford, Salisbury, Eastbourne Borough, Torquay…BHA
CMS – St Albans, Arlesey Town, Dagenham and Redbridge, Peterborough, BHA
Lancelot – Chamoise Niortais, Geuegnon, Dagenham and Redbridge. BHA
Navarro – Crewe, Tranmere, Chester, Macclesfield, Accrington Stanley, MK dons

Just feeling that we need a couple of experienced players that have been in the Prem / Championship

why is now we have a great chairman who is spending big money, a great manager who get the results.
fans like you are moaning about not having championship quality players,
I dont think there has ever been so many class players come in at the start of the season, just leave it to gus he knows what he is doing if we need more players in a certain area which I agree prob a CB/LB and a GK but if Gus thinks we have it sorted in them areas I have no problems after all hes the proffesional not us !!
at the end of the day we all know he still has money to spend and he will do so where he see's fit !!!

It would always be nice to improve the squad (Gerrard and Fabregas would be useful! - but obviously that ain't going to happen) and we don't know if anything is yet going to happen before 31st. August. Personally, I still think we could do with an experienced player who is willing to drop down a level at the end of his career to get another year or two playing - same way as Kish was a real asset to us last season. Whether it'll happen or not, I don't know - it would be good, but I won't be panicking if it doesn't happen.
I'm still a bit worried about the goalkeeping though - Leeds decided last year that Ankergren needed to bereplaced at this level - but then again, Gus seems satisfied with him, and he probably knows more than I do (?)
