We must win the next game!

The next game this Tuesday against Millwall is a must win game for us. If we do win, we will be back in the play-off area again. Of course the weekend results can change all of that, but still it would be a massive lift for everyone.

The only other game that we need to look at which is being played on Tuesday is Birmingham vs Hull as both of these clubs are above us, so the result of that match will show us where we will be as long as we win.

So I do really really hope that Brighton can beat Millwall on Tuesday by at least 3 goals to get us up to a 4th position :D

Appreciate what your saying, but it's not,and football being football,we go to Leeds with 1 win in 16 and win, then follow with a defeat vs Millwall-or is that old style thinking?

Potential banana skin. But I still think we'll win.

There's a difference between games we should win and games we must win. Finishing in the top half would be a fantastic first season back in this league for us, let's not get carried away with dreams of play-offs.

Sooner or later someones gonna get a propper 'pasting' from us....Millwall COULD be contenders, saying that..a pro display like Bristol C or Posh would be just the ticket! Lets hope the lads don't lose concentration. A win on Tuesday would set us up well for a no pressure trip to Anfield, before a tough trip to Hull, which if we lose we will still be in the mix!

Massive game Tuesday IMO.

Very important game (aren't they all at the moment?) and there is some patchy form around in the top half of the table.

Millwall is a game we should win, but it isn't 'must win'. And throughout the course of a league season you will always win games you didn't expect to (Southampton at home being a good example) and lose games you didn't expect to. However I'm sure my sage advice will be ignored and IF we lose on Tuesday there will be threads on here about how we've been found out, querying how much longer Poyet has got and warning us that our recent good form has been an illusion and that we are still in a relegation fight.

Milwall is a game we would traditionally lose after our recent run of results. I'll be interested to see if that was the old Brighton or whether we have shaken off that incredibly frustrating aspect of following the Albion. Roll on Tuesday.

I think we are now safe from relegation which was what I would have settled for pre-season so everything else is now a bonus and there will be no must win games this season.

Too early to start talking about 'must win games'. we need to just keep on winning games and see where we end up at the end of the season.

Why not, that is clearly what Tony is aiming for

This game , should we win, will take us over the 50pts mark and will guarantee us championship football next season

This is just another league game , Gus's philosophy is to play each game as it comes around with the same mentality - go for a win. What shakes things up on Tuesday is West Ham v Southampton , a win for the Hammers puts 9 clubs in with a shout of the 2nd promotion spot.

Think we have 9 home games out of our remaining 16 games so if we can pick up 20+ points at home in these I'll be chuffed. This is a should win rather than a must win, would like no team to do the double on us this season so at least a draw and don't let Harley anywhere near a penalty please gus
