I dont disagree that it is a run of negative or bad situations, ending with a final negative that tips the balance.

But were not at xmas yet & so to sack a manager because a few morons on here want him to go would be a mistake, if some people would have it it their way Dk would go aswell..now that would be a great move, I DONT THINK!

Tonight we have been beaten by a real decent side, the league proves that. Im not oanicking just yet, but he needs to turn it around

Talk about rose tinted specs.

On NSC for over two decades...
Today was the first time in over twenty years of watching the Albion that I have walked out on a home match before the final whistle.

Generally speaking I am quite tolerant of indifferent form... but this isn't indifferent, its awful. I am now actually fed up of seeing us lose at home, and I don't care that the ref was a twat tonight, because frankly our team was worse!!! I don't understand why we don't close players down. I don't understand why we don't cross properly. And I don't understand why we have bothered with all these loan players, as to be honest it would be cheaper to lose with our own players.

If Adams doesn't win the home game on Boxing Day I think he should be sacked. And I think that would be justified because the results are not good enough, and half a season is time enough to find a side that can actually play together.

You weren't the only one, couldn't have been more than 15 people left in H block by the final whistle!

Everyone has a right to their opinion. No Albion fan is happy with the situation or the performances, however, it is the way those opinions are expressed that are the problem.

Too many people shouting vitriolic abuse at people doing a job (not very well I admit) , but no one deserves that sort of abuse.

If I was Adams I would leave because some of the supporters at the Withdean last night and on previous games are a disgrace to this club.He loves this club and will be hurting himself. Have your say but there are ways of saying what you feel without abusing people.

From a personal point of view I would never boo or shout abuse at the team or manager, but many will.

I honestly do think peoples expectations these days are very high, and this in my opinion is down to money, the cost of a ticket, what players / managers get paid nowadays etc etc, when your average man is spending a vast amount of money to go and watch anything, there will always be adverse comments if it is not a good performance.

Mind you I thought it was good turn out considering the time of year, recession and weather forecast.

I'm sorry but the manager and the players deserve the shit they are getiing from the fans.

Some of us spend a lot of money and spend alot of time travelling to watch the Albion, and to be rewarded with a string of performances that are getting worse and worse with every game.

I don;t know enough of what happens at the club to be able to say i know what the problem is but as much as it pains me to say it, looks like Adams has no idea what he is doing. Baffling team selection after team selection, an unorganised team with no idea how they are meant to be playing. Set plays look unpracticed and unrehersed.

My main worry is normally last night i would have been angry when we went 3-1 down, but instead i just didn't care. Just wanted the game to end so i could go home. Would normally be disappointed that i'm not going on boxing day..but not that bothered. I think the apathy that is being shown but many of the players and the management team is rubbing off on me.

What this club needs is something which is going to excite the fans, as i know i'm not alone in feeling like this. DK has got to think hard, and not be fooled that starting Falmer this month is going to generate enough exitement to get people through the gate. We need some money spending in the transfer window and or a change of manager.

I for one am shocked at just how poor the results are.

I am shocked at how poor the players are generally playing week in and week out.

I am shocked at the fact the manager I idolised while we smashed every team in sight that most memorable championship season is failing to get ANYTHING out of the players.

I am also shocked at Micky's weak arse excuses week in and week out, so just like everyone I am pissed off about the entire situation.

But as a fan I am utterly & totally more disgusted with albion fans on here in general. Now we are all pissed off with whats going on and I'm very worried about us this season, But shi* like DK out & adams fcuk off...What is the matter with you people?

Have you that much of a short memory what Knight has done?

Have you that much of short memory of the joy Adams brought us?

People shouting & swearing at adams like he was a piece of dirt on the bottom of your shoe, not a guy who prob loves the club very much and is hurting just as much as everyone of us cos its on his shoulders eash saturday!

Now it does not excuse him from critism because he brought us success 8 years ago.....But as a fan of this club for nearing 25 years, I really cant stand our fans, were fickle, forget legends as soon as they leave ie cullip (meaning I heard sections slating him when he was at forest) and adams & some fans seem to think were some super force in soccer!

As fans we should be ashamed of ourselves and all grow up..or we could just keep booing, crying, whinging and moaning....

new age albion fans are woeful & i will not go off and support another club but I cant stand to be in the terraces with half you cretins!

How many games have you seen at Withdean this season to come to your conclusions?

I'm sorry but a manager is about results and performances, tonight was a complete shambles. We're a team heading backwards and we might end up in League Two. I love Micky Adams, but tonight is the last straw!

agreed,, i woke up this morning hoping he might have walked

Zip.

I agree. I do not want a lecture from someone who has never been or contributed nothing financially to the club telling me I am a bad fan whilst watching it on ceefax. I have brought 2 season tickets for all 11 seasons at the Shitedean and although I am selling half of my games now I have still paid my dues and have a right to comment. In short Adams is getting shit because we are shit, its a tough game and Adams is in a very priviledged job getting £ 200 K ? a year managing a football team whilst the rest of us are struggling to make ends meet in a stressful , long hours environment so I do not feel too sorry for him.

There are different rules for differerent people McGhee is his season in div 3 had 7 games and won 2 drew 2 and lost 3 and was sacked when we were in mid table, Wilkins had an awful 1st season but did well in his 2nd season but Adams would have been sacked long before know if he had been McGhee or Wilkins.

Dick Knight has done 95% things right so yes to me he is almost exempt from critcism.

But this season is turning into a disaster.

If people are still prepared to pay over the odds to watch what's being served up at the moment then fair play to them, they are paying well over the odds and they are entitled to thier opinion whether dogooders agree with it or not.

You will find that this like veryother club has diffrent sets of fans:drink:
1,fans who are ambitious and want better football and a few quid to spend(like myself)

2,fans like most on here who couldn't give a shite if we have zero funds or a shite stadium and worship dick knight and also they don't have much of a life.

3,fans who are trophy hunters who will only go for big games or they will wait for falmer.

A genaration of young have already aligned themselves with Premiership clubs, and any chance to get them over to their local club was slim..... to no chance.
Well, the latter is being given the underscore, if they decide to take a look at The Albion lately.

Falmer being built..... er..... "so what?" for an increasing number of jaundiced observers of Brighton, Hove, and everywhere else.

The people who DO pay the business of BHAFC for professional entertainment, are looking at a recession, at where money is best spent, what they can or cannot afford, and what VALUE for money they are getting. They are thinking about watching telly/going out for a meal/popping down the local/shopping/staying in with the family/watching live football on Setanta or Sky/watching their local school, pub or village team/going to see Brighton play.

They'll be thinking about WHY they bothered to get that season ticket last summer, and they'll be looking at the wisdom and expense of another season ticket renewal for next season.

1. Everybody
2. Nobody. There really are none of that description.
3. A huge number, a vast potential that may remain untapped.

I agree with you 100%, and that observation is true for the other 60 odd clubs who are utter shite and will never achieve anything.

We're in a unique position because of the Withdean/Falmer factor, which has increased prices in conjunction with poorer facilities.

But until a sugar daddy appears with a sackload of cash, or the new stadium arrives, is there a viable alternative to what we see before us?

And your point is?

You don't comment on Adams situation, the game last night, the lack of spirit in the team. In fact, you haven't commented on anything other than to sing your own praises as the best supporter and have a dig at anyone else.
Perhaps you should be the one seeking a new life!

Like a lot of league clubs, we don't HAVE to endure poor results and shambolic performances because of a lack of "a sugar-daddy". It always starts 11 against 11 on that pitch, and money won't change that as a fact. We (mostly) feel that the players currently on the Albion books are talented and capable - but are lost, befuddled, ineffectual as things are presently.

Whatever people said/say about Wilkins - that he had "lost the dressing room, lost his mind, tactically hopeless" etc etc - he was getting results!
His sides were playing reasonably decent football, and maintained a competitive concern in the division.
I liked him, and if he was learning along the way - then for the bigger picture/longer haul - I can accept and applaud, and have the patience for that. It seems the talisman went with him, when you look at where we are going right now. He didn't exactly break the boardroom bank to get a 7th place in L1 either!
He may have threatened the board in other ways, by acting as a mediator for the players, their contracts and wages. Would that have been more expensive that re-hiring Hart and Mayo, then filling the squad with loanees?
Robbie Savage was, let's face it, a failure at Brighton. Didn't even play all the games he was due to appear. 'Only' a few extra grand a week.

If the costs were counted - was last season so demanding?
We are going down, DESPITE the expenditures of this season - that will have to be tallied into the accounts book too.
