If I've got this right. People who were there but sat in silence (which seemed a lot on tv) are complaining about a handful of people singing and chanting because a couple of their songs were a bit "cringey"?

That's about the gist of it. Not sure why people are bothered by the odd silly chant, just a bit of fun in the spur of the moment, isn't it?

Sorry, agree with the old ladies on this...they have paid for a SEAT and having someone stand in front of you blocking your view is annoying to say the least..perhaps the Ladies have difficulty in keep standing up to see...yes I know it's football...perhaps they could'nt get a seat in the front...and even when you do you have your view blocked by stewards and people going to the loo...can turn around your 'go to the front' by saying you are fit and healthy then if you want to stand up,go to the back where you are not blocking someones view....I pay to watch a match not someones back...I'm very lucky at the Amex,no one can walk in front of me...but away matches it's different...remember it is all seating Stadia now,to me the only time people need to stand is when a goal has been scored...not when the ball gets down in the oppontents halve...just have a little thought of those behind you.

Not this again, it's really very simple, if you want to sit, go to the front. There were plenty of empty seats last night so the old ladies were in the wrong for wanting people to sit down.

What were they attempting to sing? (obviously without being racist, please)

Did anyone confront them? Did anyone report to a steward?

someone in response to "town full of faggots" sang "town full of pakis" it was quickly shut down by the surrounding people.
