We looked like a bottom 3 side today

We were awful offensively, true & Ince looked utterly out of his depth. But we're too good at the back (even with Dunk still wobbly) for bottom three

Second half. Was like last season , no pace , no invention , we could not pass , kept on giving the ball away , no shots on goal , first half was ok , we had a couple of chances in the first half , but very dissappointing

We were generally crap today but we didn't lose. Not sure what type of meltdown the OP will have when the inevitable happens and we lose?

Thank heavens we didn't lose. We kept a clean sheet, with a third of our team missing.

Why is it a meltdown saying we were awful today? We were. In no way was I saying we are a bottom 3 side or that we are not good enough. Too many players didn't turn up today and some of the passing and urgency needed to win the game was pure rubbish.

Why don't you stop mid-reading posts and twisting it into something else

It would appear to some that we are allowed be poor because of our position in the league, no apologies for this, today we were very poor and the managers post match interview confirmed this. We miss our captain, energy in midfield and desperately need another striker. CH doesn't play the strikers on the bench other than BZ which tells me what he thinks of them. It doesn't take much to drop a few or more places in this division, so we should be very aware of aimless and directionless performances

This was a very poor performance. BUT we have many players out. The depth of the squad being tested and found wanting with so many of the first teamers out. I would get creative mid and a striker on loan. In the meantime another point bagged

It was a bit dreary/frustrating but if it was like last season. We'd have lost.

We were OK in first half , second half was awful and it was just like last year if PNE had had shown some more ambition they could of easily won the match

Good to see NSC back to a bit of over reaction and drivel. One ordinary half (we were good in the first half, especially the first half hour) and a few people moaning like we are actually bottom of the league. We're still unbeaten, have 29 points from 13 games and are four points clear at the top. Most teams in this division would struggle without three quarters of their midfield.

Oh do me a lemon

You start a thread saying we looked like a bottom 3 side today, and then get snarky when people call you up on having a meltdown. If you actually don't THINK we're a bottom 3 side, then don't put the suggestion in your attention-seeking Daily Star headline.

No we weren't great by any means, but we were missing 3 or 4 key players and came up against a well organised outfit, which Simon Grayson sides generally are. Try to deal with it, without flidding out on the hyperbole.

Top of the league and we're "amateurish" ?? Go and have a beer.

Denial is a terrible thing. A few more of those performances and you won't be able sing that wee song you all love so much. We shouldn't have to rely on 2 ******* players to beat relegation fodder

What a load of arrogant rubbish. Preston were solid at the back and didn't give us much space. The issue is some fans assume, because we're top, that we should beat bottom half teams. The Championship doesn't work like that. Games are very tight and we didn't have that bit of inspiration today from missing Kayal, Stephens and LuaLua. We also had Crofts making his first start in a year, Ince his first league start of the season and Murphy playing for the first time in a month, which may explain why we tired a bit in the second half.
