Does anyone else feel as they still have to pinch themselves over the Murray transfer? Feel as if they might be living in a parallel universe where Murray has signed for Palace? The utter absurdity of the whole thing, April Fools day coming in late May/early June, I've been beamed up by aliens, I'll wake up in a minute kind of thing.

Ridiculous in every way, utterly ridiculous. Bennett going feels real, Murray to Palace is a work of fiction, a concept that's just too far fetched. I fear I may have to join the Flaming Church of Baby Jesus to get to the bottom of this.

I really don't know why we even give him the time of day

He has gone and whatever anyone may say, he has done so on the basis of the same economic decision which 95% of people on this board would have taken had they been in his shoes.

GM quite possibly looks at this board, given that NSC is the best and most active BB covering BHAFC, and by constantly posting on this issue we are going to make him feel that we care. WE DONT and clearly GP and TB don't either.

I'm looking forward to his first interview on the Palace 'Player'.

He helped get us promoted, so I'm grateful to him for that. But he's now an ex-player whose exit will, I hope, have very little impact on our future success.

Tbh i would go to the club that offers the most money but whatever i did i wouldn't go to a rival, no matter how much i would get paid i just dont think i could do it.
But you are right about us not really caring, he's gone get over it people, and anyway a club can only be judged on its whole squad so palace will still be relegated this coming season.

Good player, but a right moody Northern Monkey. Hope it all goes pear shaped there for him then he can get his dream move back to Rochdale.
Bad footballing decision from him, but we'll be alright.

We offered him a two year contract, he wanted the security of a three year one. So he left.

Think Murray will now realise, with the money being spent on other players, what the Albion,Gus,& supporters think his real worth is!1 year in 3 not good enough.

Gus has just spent £1.5m on "Will power" (Buckley & Hoskins) so had the money to meet Murray's wage demands. Gus clearly didn't rate him, so end of discussion!!

I get the impression Murray is so incredibly thick. I think he has no idea that a rivalry even exsists between the two clubs, he went there because his agent told him that's where the biggest wage was. I'm not convinced he even knows that we will be playing them next year. As someone else said earlier, very grateful for his goals last year but it's done now, we're up and he has gone. Time to move onto to bigger and betters things.

Nice little quote from the palace site, posted yesterday:

Just got back - a fair few Palace out and about in Bournemouth last night. Quite a good game - Bournemouth are a good side and we created quite a few clear cut chances but the finishing was poor. Before they equalised we were dominating the game - once they equalised we had a couple of open goals to take the lead but missed them and we all know what happens when teams don't take their chances.

Scannell and Zaha were the two Palace players who stood out for me. Murray doesn't look quick to say the least so I think the jury is out on whether he can step up a level. I think we will be hard to beat away this year - my only worry is the lack of ability up front. I would like to see Scannell down the middle. The likes of Easter and Murray don't look good enough to make it in the Championship. And Ambrose was pretty anonymous.

hahahaha

I also heard in the friendly vs Norwich a trio or so got subbed incl the judas **** and after briefly going to the dressing room they came back out to sit on the bench. All ten palarse fans stood to aplaud the players and guess who didn't even clap back and walked on by in a world of his own..................

Actually, I'm thinking it might've been a laff to keep him here to clean CMS' boots.
