But would they all still be singing up if DW was manager and we'd made no new signings??? we will never know

Yes we would have still got season tickets. Everyone had planned to get it as soon as the offer was released, which was before Dean had been sacked. The manager change made no difference in my opinion of whether to get a season ticket or not.

I'll buy this explanation but DK could (and imo should) have handled the question better - eg:
"I don't have the exact figures to hand but the sales are significantly up on last season"

I agree entirely. I'm getting a little tired myself of being accused of shit-stirring or of trying to create conspiracy theorie by people who see any questioning of Dick Knight as treachery.
It was a fan's forum where an open and honest debate with the fans was the order of the day. What was the point of SK's reluctance to talk numbers. It's not exactly top secret stuff.

With all these extra bums on seats i hope the stewarding will be much better this season.

I was appalled at the Charlton game to see a Steward rush into the crowd to tell a young charlton fan to remove his scarf and yet later in the same game did nothing to stop people standing up.

dreadful double standards

We sold 3,069 last year. That was an answer Insider gave in 'Ask the Club.' A 12% rise on that would be about 3,500.

I think we sold a few more than that in the end! The 12% increase is on the total amount sold, and I think also includes half-season-tickets too. What I don't have is an exact figure at this point last year!

The fact is, all things considered (credit crunch, u-21 offer, MA returning, signings) the club is pleased with the sales so far. We also expect a few more through August and again at Christmas.

3458 is approximately 3500! We have sold approximately 4,000 tickets (that means within 100 of 4,000). Incidentally total sales for last season were just under 3500. The figure is over 500 up on last season, roughly 12%. Simply calculation using those figures gives us that figure, but if you want to get an exact figure it's probably about 13.81909....% and rising with each application we receive. Perhaps we would all be better being patient and waiting until the end of August, when we can do some proper analysis.

What I want to know is this.

3,458...3,500...4,000. Why does anybody on here actually give a f***? ???

Of course the increase in season ticket sales could have been down to the team finishing last season strongly and finishing in seventh rather than simply Micky Adams...

Please finish this with an 'in the know' smilie next time, otherwise a good effort.
