Never thought that was the best combination tbh. Upson was a great centre half but coming out with the ball he was barely out of the Adam el Abd class - probably why he didn't play more times for England. I think we've missed Upson more as a personality than a player this year, I think Lewis is going to be better

The few remaining players we have left from last season are playing nowhere near as well and whilst the new ones are, in the main, not as good, it is clearly the tactics being imposed on them that are a disaster.
