If we have any real ambition then that is absolutely true but they need to have some height and stature.

Sadly I remember Upson from the 2010 WC or EC and he was somewhat poor I seem to recollect.

There is a bit of a quality difference between the WORLD CUP and the CHAMPIONSHIP.

Am I missing something here with England caps? Aren't England ridiculously shit?

Yes you are; you're confusing England caps with looking in the mirror.

Most of them have 1 cap you muppet.

Still were chosen as the best players in England at the time. My point is, England caps aren't exactly proof of a brilliant player. I'd be more excited if the caps were with France, Germany, Spain etc

THAT WAS THE WORLD CUP!!! Seriously we are not in this champions league we are in the championship.

Which by some is regarded as the 4th most competitive league in Europe.

VINCELOT: Midfielder Romain Vincelot and defender Matt McGiveron have had their contracts terminated by mutual consent, and are free to join another club.

All capped by England:
Michael Ricketts
Carlton Palmer
Seth Johnson
David Nugent
Francis Jeffers
Steve Guppy

What am I missing?

Most of the above had long careers playing in the top flight - I think we would have taken any of them in their prime

Who the eck is McGiveron ? Thought Vincelot was OK and a good utility player (also paid 250K for him ?)
