We couldn't afford grabban, didn't offer pig a new deal can't get the ward deal done over wages. Until the club pays the wages we won't go up,got to be a time when we pay the going rate.

No. We have a wage structure in place that doesn't allow us to get fleeced by players or agents. Grabban's a prime example of that.
As is Ward. £13k a week for a left back? Nah.
It's nothing to do with what we can afford.
You'd be better off supporting Pompey. Or QPR.

Looking at it another way we only offered what we felt Grabban was worth PIG wanted to play in the premier league do you always believe what papers write about Ward

But we could have made a sizeable profit on buying and selling Grabban and he might just have fired us to the Premier league last season if we hadn't offered him a deal he could refuse.

Not at all we need a left back , stop pissing around and get him. If the club doesn't want to get to the prem that's fair enough but don't mug the fans off.

I must have missed the press release where all the wage demands and figures were finally published. Can anybody provide a link to it? :bla:

this is the crux of the matter , we will not pay top wages so we will only sign lesser players so the quality of players we have will drop , thus our position in the league would also drop , so prepare for a struggle

Didn't say that it was the right call. Clearly that's worthy of (lengthy) debate. Just that it is our wage structure/limit not our inability to pay.

Oh, that old chestnut again.

So because he offers an opinion that you don't agree with he should be supporting someone else.

Genuinely surprised

But the club can't continue to lose 8 mill a year, they have to get to the prem in the near future!! At some point we have to take a slight gamble .

No. Because he wants us to break the bank signing players on 'decent' (high) wages. Which those teams do. So therefore he'd be happier.

Not if the Blackpool, Palace, Burnley route is followed. Although in fairness this does require the harmonious confluence of a number of factors.

Makes you wonder how people would run their own business, or indeed manage their own finances.
