We are such a big club now! Go away fc united!

When did we get so arrogant? Not long back we were bleating for support to other clubs fans for support:eek:We also know what its like to get to smaller an allocation than needed:angry:Enough people winging about villa, spurs and west ham tickets:rant:I thought we were a peoples club or is it a case of i'm all right jack,fc united have done what we might have had to do if archer had strangled our club anymore so whats the problem with them wanting to celebrate what they have achieved? I would never condon the handing over of mass areas of our ground but with a getsure and show of good will we could have made 1500 tickets available???So where are all our fans reps now:glare: You know who you are but as its been said we have got bigger fish to fry:tosser: SHAME ON YOU BRIGHTON SHAME ON YOU RUFFIANS!

Whisper it softly but it could be that we're riding for a fall at the weekend. Gus simply isn't committed to the cup competitions, as evidenced by playing a man that had been retired for six years. His quote regarding El-Abd, "I think we are very lucky to have a cup game this Saturday, so we do not have to risk him" suggests we can expect another second string lineup. We can expect the visitors to be fired up and now nursing a sense of injustice.

I'd rather Gus tried to get some momentum going and went for the big win but I can easily see us going out of the cup on Saturday.

Absolutely SPOT ON, mate.
I am frankly astonished at the attitude of some on here. When we needed support we asked for it, and we got it. Just imagine if other clubs had responded to us in the Nineties like some here have to FCUM! These are ordinary fans like us who were so angry about the state of football (it ISN'T just about the Glazers, it's about modern football generally) that they set up their own club. Yes, some of them seem a bit too 'Man U' in their attitude - and yes, their club wasn't actually being physically destroyed, 'just' saddled with million pounds of debt by foreign 'owners' without a clue about the game while prices soared beyond the reach of many people - but instead of sitting around moaning, they DID something, and I for one back them 100%.

Has someone got hold of Revs computer??? No, well in that case, spot on Rev, absolute sense.

Just a shame some of the Effsee Utd fans had to start larging it on here, as if it was any of our faults that they got fewer tickets than they wanted. They came to the wrong place to vent their anger really, there are plenty on this board who would argue the colour of orange juice if it makes them look angry, hard and anti (police/tory/Hebberd/DK/board/Club) on a message board.

The thing is, at the end of the day, they're Man U fans.

Glad charlton fans didn't say end of the day they're brighton fans when they turned up in the coach loads in our support???i think over the years with had a tear up with most fans sometime somewhere but we could all get turned over by the big buck! We have far more in common with fc united fan base than with some that are milking football, and who will walk away when the udders are dry???We are lucky to have bloom, others are not so lucky. Enjoy the present, enjoy the future but please dont forget where we have been these past years:falmer:

I agree with you and good luck to them.

But I trust the club and I would have thought there has been some chatter on the internet which is why the police are worried. Its not like they're tyring to hide the fact they're comming in the home end. THIS is why its catgory C.

f*** that shit, we are a big club, we're heading straight to the Premiership in an expanded Falmer, we're gonna bank all that filthy SKY lucre, and I for one am gonna love scoffing them prawn sarnies in an atmosphere-free ground. We've been slumming it for too long so shut it Rev, bring on the prawn sarnies and death to all tinpot clubs - and yes Southampton that does include you!

On a purely finanical basis we should have given them as many tickets as they wanted, within reason.

We won't sell out the home end. If they could have sold another 1,000 we should have let them have it.

I can remember Orient fans sitting in the South Stand (I think it was Orient) one game. Why any different for FCUM? Far more likely to be trouble against the O's.

And on a moral point, some Brighton fans have acted liked absolute Moonpigs over this. I am not in for the whole love in binfest some may opt for but we got support from a lot of clubs when we needed it. The irony in certain fans dismissing FCUM on one thread and moaning about Southampton's delusions of granduer on another is palpatable.

In this instance, I would be more than happy for an FCUM fan to sit near me. The more the merrier. We are all adults after all.

In an ideal world I would agree.

But, it only takes a few idiots from either side and all of a sudden you have young kids cowering with fear as beer laden thugs trade blows with each other/stewards/police etc etc

It may never happen of course, but is it worth the risk? I for one don't think so.

any other team I would be sympathetic , that lot can f*** RIGHT off..

But surely our (mostly justified!) criticism of Man U Fans is that a) many are from Torquay and b) they are a bunch of plastic glory hunters who don't go to games, don't know the first thing about football, and don't care? This lot are from Manchester, or seem to be, and obviously do care about what is happening to the game......

Exactly.

If any end up near me, they can share my half time biscuits and coffee.
