Realistically this is our only chance left this season to win anything so you could arguably say it’s our biggest game of the season. Hopefully 3-4 of the players out last Saturday will be available for selection.

I can feel it. So many reasons why:

You can’t lose 7-0 and not get a reaction. There will have been a lot of soul-searching done this week at Lancing.

FH will know that keeping us in the cup gives him job security- he will go for it with a strong team.

Chelsea need to make the Champions League this year, they won’t play their strongest squad.

The Amex is going to be rocking with a big away following and the hard-core home fans that actually want to be there and will support the Albion no matter what (even if it means getting home past 11pm on a Saturday night or having to queue for a train or even bump into some nasty and frightening away fans).

It would be so Brighton to win this one after last weekend.

We’ll be back to losing in the league the following Friday as Chelsea punish us for Saturday.

Into the 5th round we go, a favourable draw this time and once we cruise through that we’ll be one game from Wembley.

Very much looking forward to bouncing this thread on Sunday morning…
Well that's put 'paid' to our hopes.....

At the very least it’s an interesting moment. Do we bounce back from Forest or will it derail our season? First look on Saturday.

Now I'm not being serious at all, but...... given we play Chelsea again 6 days later........ and without Palmer they are BANG average........ it would be a desperate shame if one of our U21s who plays in the cup game accidently smashed Palmer into row F of the WSL......... said U21 would need to be dealt with, an improved contract perhaps.

I'd be surprised if Palmer started on Saturday personally

That's what we said after we lost 5-0 (should have been 8 or 9) at home to Bmff under Hughton. We had a midweek game following that match, a crucial relegation 'six pointer' at home v Cardiff. We lost that too.

Watching Chelsea against West Ham, they certainly look capable of scoring goals but look vulnerable at the back.

My guess is for 4 goals to be scored, but unfortunately they could easily be at either end.

I’ve come around to being glad all the ‘I can’t go because of my own special reason how dare you question me’ brigade aren’t going now. It’s going to be like that Palace FA Cup game where there were only 14,000 in the ground. That one was a great atmosphere with proper fans and was easy to get away from afterwards due to the smaller crowd. And we won.

Same again on Saturday.
The crowd won't be that small I'm afraid. I know WSU is closed but there are only 2k tickets left.
