The US has been flippant about such things in the past (i.e Ron Reagan for the AIDS epidemic), but this ought to get serious attention from them. Mexicans inhabit many areas in the US, and come and go quite a bit, to and from The States.
When we heard about bird flu, this went on for about 2 weeks in the news, then it just fizzled out.
Apparently this variant is spreading from human 2 human, which is of course worrying considering bird flu never did this.
I must admit, the news is not helping by hyping and shitting people up. It shit me up and Sky are the worst for shitting people up, with the Breaking News ticker.
When I turned on Sky News yesteday I was greeted with the headline, 61 people die from Swine Flu in Mexico, with suspected cases in America. Experts say this could be pandemic. They made it sound like that if you get this Swine Flu you will die, they did not actually mention the type of variants.
Todays news is different, I have not heard of anyone else dying but the people that have Swine Flu has spread to New Zealand, France and have mild forms of it and are responding well to treatment.
