So no known as "Wayne Rooney's Derby County" ? What will the BBC do next?

I wouldn't worry. We still have "Frank Lampard's Everton" and "Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa". I've noticed that it only seems to happen when the manager's name is bigger that the club's name

TBH I'd have thought experience would be the priority but given that we only have 5 senior pros in contract, I wouldn't rule anything out!
Are you still not allowed to buy players, or will that restriction be lifted with the takeover completed?

If you don't have a keeper amongst those 5, Rosenior should be in for Carl Rushworth without any doubt.

Derby currently 4/1 to be promoted, or 11/1 4th faves for the title (behind Ipswich, Massive and P'boro).

Thats far too mingy to draw me in, given the managerial situation and the huge upheaval. They'll do well to make top 6 IMO.

Difficult to see how Hourihane would fit in to the EFL's restrictions?

I will take this opportunity to thank those who've offered words of support over the last few months, it's really appreciated. When I stood with you all back in the mid 90s, I probably didn't understand what it meant to be on the brink - It's tough and for those who haven't been through it, have a listen to one of Radio Derby's DCFC people, Ed Dawes, there were a lot of people, including me, who reacted similarly.....

And for those of you who somehow wanted us to be punished to the end of the earth or didn't care about our existence, up yours!

Not sure if we can now 'buy' players but we've started signing players including a keeper, which is a big relief as I was contemplating buying the other half a pair of Sondicos (She's still really good friends with Steve Ogrizovic). All our signings are 'Subject to EFL approval'

Think the signings will all be approved by EFL - hard to see how having what must be now about 10 players can beach any agreed salary cap

The sad thing is if EFL rules included all clubs being monitored as closely as Derby are now would never have ended up where they got to last year ..

I wish you all the best. I hope you can move on from the current circus as soon as possible.

Indeed... depending on what they sign they might avoid relegation battle but anywhere near promotion would be surprising.

It is all a bit similar to Bolton two years ago and while they actually managed to get promoted despite their quickly assembled squad being pretty far down the table halfway through 20/21. But might be a lot more difficult to do that in League One instead of League Two.

E.G. "Graham Potter's Brighton"....:lolol:

Patrick Viera’s Palace has a better ring to it, he’s won more medals and trophies than Palace 2010 have in their 12 years of existence or ever will probably. If ever a manager was bigger than the club this is right up there

Can you refer to them using their proper name please.

Wayne Rooney’s former Derby County.
