Despite his dreadful track record, and average of around 6 months per club before being sacked, it’s more the fact they’ve had 12 managers in 2 and a half years, averaging around 15 games per tenure. It is an absolutely astonishing way of managing a football club.
It was always the case a new manager would be announced at some point this summer though wasn’t it? Wilder was only a temp appointment

It's got to the point where if they sacked him before they'd played a game it wouldn't surprise me.
Claridge - Millwall !!

I had a bet on him in sack race at 13/2 that year and he went before season started and was declared a non runner !!

Did very well at Barnsley.... and erm
And LASK Linz for a season or so. He was an aggressive figure on the bench, happy to square up to any chippy opposing managers.

Then it all went pear-shaped when he organised secret training sessions during the first lockdown!

It's at the stage now, where they simply have no chance of hiring a manager who cares about his reputation. They should be a decent club. Their fans are right to ask for better

He became Crystal Palace's record signing back in 1998. He made....13 appearances and only lasted 10 months before moving on to Lens!

It's mad how much player prices have increased. 25 years ago 2.75million was a club record for a premier league team nowadays players are sold for 20 times that price and no one bats an eyelid.

What would 2.75m get you in today's market? It's barely enough for a Mitoma. Whereas back then you could smash your club transfer record and bring in (for 13 games) a player of the quality of Ismail.:nono:
