Oh FFS give it a rest - f*kcin' boring shite. We're having a great day, and should be enjoying every minute of it. Yet all some people seem interested in is having a pop at probably the best manager we ever had, who got us from the brink of League 1 to the PL in the first place.

I'd imagine he is gloating at all the Albion fans who wanted to stick with Hughton. Those that were dubbed betwetters six months ago are allowing themselves a little smirk thinking about those that talked down to them.
Hughton is of course a legend but it needed to change.

"All credit goes to Brighton's manager, the formation and the substitutions"
I have been waiting a while to hear that since Mr Potter joined us.
It's a relief and a great start, it's going to be interesting to see us play at home next against a side outside of the top 6
Delighted that Neal 'Peter Ward' Maupay getting off the mark in his first game.

This is a win to savour - but it has to be acknowledged that Watford have been brutal and if they keep playing like this they will be relegation candidates.

Next weeks game against West Ham will be interesting, given that they were 'hammered' this week. Can Brighton reproduce the form from today or will West Ham be better prepared than Watford. At some point teams will adapt to Potter's tactics - and it will be interesting to see how things will go then.

I have to say Maupay looked like it could be a good player - he has pace which Brighton have needed and he took his goal very well.

Disagree. Potter will have many tactics, not just the one like previous years. I also think we will play a lot better than today once the new bods have got going.

Well that was a pleasing and enjoyable game.

Result aside it was just nice seeing us show positive intent from start to finish. Great for Andone and Maupay to score, an assist from a central midfielder and Dunk rampaging forward like it was 2015-17. Lovely.

Watford were fairly obliging opponents but they still played right through us quite easily at times so I don't think we should read too much into our final league placing of the back of this but it's a fantastic way to start the season. Keep the pre-season positivity going a little longer.

We just won an away game, with 2 strikers bagging a goal each and you're more concerned about having a pop at fans :ffsparr:
To be fair, we have just won like you say, but someone else was using it as an excuse to have a pop at Hughton, and GT was defending Hughton.

Are you for real? Normal Brighton fans are rejoicing in a fantastic result, but your glee is in the hope that Chris Hughton is unhappy.

Was meant to be more of a light remark about the fact that he would have been breaking out in a cold sweat at the idea of bringing on two attacking subs while 1 - 0 up away from home. Clearly didn’t translate well, and I certainly don’t take any glee from it.

Yes. Because all summer we’ve had fans telling us sacking Hughton was a mistake. Both PL seasons we’ve been at Watford away in August. Scored 0, Loss 0:

Potter new approach has meant not only have we scored 3, but also won.

Someone, please pinch me... did we really just win 3-0 away? Also, the first half we had the same exact players we had playing for us under Hughton..just saying.

What a start! Very impressive.

Funny that Lawrenson had it down as a 2-0 home win. A 5 goal swing is quite a good effort from the Grump.
I might have gone for a home win by 1 goal, or a draw, but I wasn't predicting a Brighton win.
