Can someone briefly tell me how the club ticket exchange works?.how much do you get back of an adult ticket if they sell it?

75% of the price you paid for it.

I'm interested in these 2 opposing scenarios...

i) A ticket holder has 1 * adult and 3 * u10 tickets and puts them into the exchange. What do they get if the tickets are bought by 4 adults. Does the club just take the 'excess' profit?

ii) A ticket holder has 4 * adult tickets and puts them into the exchange. What do they get if the tickets are bought by 1 adult and 3 * u10s. Does the club make up the shortfall?

The screenshot YOU posted in this thread, states that you will get 75% of the price that you paid pro-rata, for your ST.

I would presume that if that equates to £18, then £18 is what you would be credited, regardless of what the seat is re-sold as.

I presume they will only sell Bozza's ticket to an adult. Otherwise they'd make a loss which I'm sure the club would not want to do.

I think they'd feel pretty secure, tbh.

I'm making these numbers up a little bit, but Bozza can clarify them:

He'll be paying about £23 per game pro-rata for his season ticket, but on a game by game basis, they are £35 seats. Thus, even sold as a child seat (£17.50), that still covers their outlay to him of 75% of £23.

I don't see how that can be the case. If someone phones up for one adult and one child ticket, would they really be told that they can only buy 2 adult tickets as that's what has been put back into the exchange?

An u10 pays 25% of the full rate, about a fiver a game in the case of my second ticket. If it was an adult ticket and was sold to an u10, would I still get c£18 back?

I'd Ask the Club, but it's closed.

I'm CERTAIN that this would not be the case. the price difference between 75% of the pro-rata ST rebate, and the high price of match by match seats, mean that the chances of makiing a loss are minimal (and offset anyway by additional revenue at the ground on ancilliaries)

Your maths are wrong, surely? An U-10 ticket bought for the match, would be 25% of the full match day cost (not 25% of what you paid). Something like £9.

As its an 'exchange' as opposed to a direct sale I presumed this would be the case. I'm just guessing though. I will be interesting to know the answer.

Good point, but my point still stands - will the club pay the selling season ticket holder more than was actually received for the ticket, if the purchaser happens to be a concession? Not one for this thread and apologies for taking it off on a tangent. I will Ask the Club when the facility re-opens. I'll also be asking why my tickets never appeared online for sale - I'm guessing they were available to ticket office staff and sold face to face or over the phone. I'd expect all tickets to be available to potential buyers across all channels. I'll also be asking when the selling account gets credited - mine hasn't yet.

Does the exchange work for 1901 tickets? I guess it doesn't.

You can forward those on as much as you like, for free or as a charge. It's as simple as sending a link to your recipient through the clubs website. The recipient then clicks the link and can print out paper tickets AFAIK.

I know this. What I mean is, if a 1901er does not want to go to a game can they also press a button and have the club sell the ticket for them? I'm guessing no but then it seems odd to have a premium product with less resale functionality then non 1901 tickets. I'm curious.

And they sell the ticket at the market value as opposed to the season ticket price you paid

So about 50% of the value the club will sell the ticket for?
