I can see why he took the job - more money and a good chance of promotion - but clearly the job has come too early in his career.

You wonder what the rationale is from the Watford boardroom. It might work out quite well for them; Bilic comes into the job after a huge summer clearout (50-odd players transferred, released, loaned out), he knows what he has to work with and has the experience of getting West Brom up from a similar position. Maybe he didn't want to do that summer dirty work; telling a load of young players you don't know they're out can't be a pleasant task.

Indeed, Edwards must be quite angry about this having joined at the start of the summer, probably working non-stop to oversee the ins and outs of playing staff, getting off to a reasonable start but then seeing Emmanuel Dennis sold at the end of the window after already losing Josh King, Andre Gray and Cucho Hernandez.

As far as Andre Gray is concerned, my Watford-supporting friends would have happily paid for his ticket to any other club.

Watford now looking for their 17th permanent manager since July 2012, which is only one fewer than West Ham have had in their entire history

Rob Edwards, Roy Hodgson, Claudio Ranieri, Xisco, Vladimir Ivic, Quique Sanchez Florez, Javi Garcia... now it starts to become difficult. Pretty sure Gianfranco Zola was there for a while... some other Yugoslavian as well. Probably missing out on a bunch of Italians.

Oscar Garcia? Marco Silva. Walter Mazzari

Give it time, they will soon run out of other managers who will take the poisoned chalice.

No they won't.

There will ALWAYS be someone who will take the job in the knowledge they'll be walking away in a few months time, having trousered a few hundred grand in the process from these goons.

It’s my turn on January 16th next year.

I really can’t make it on that date, can anyone swap for a different day?

I’d be very grateful.

Owner Gino Pozzo said: "As with all decisions taken by the board, I believe this change to be in the best interests of the club.

"We felt Rob had enough time to show us the identity of his team, however performances haven't reflected our hopes and ambitions."

What a complete FUD! Edwards was only in charge for 11 games FFS!

Another crap club run by morons ...may they crash and burn!

I regularly drive pass Vicarage Rd.
The managers parking space has a photo frame, similar to that on Back to the Future, where at times the current managers image starts to fade, giving them an indication that they've not got long!
